Sirens. The whining of police cars coming closer brought a smile to Olivia's pale face, earning a look of concern from the tan male beside her.
"Oh stop it Luke; They have never been able to catch a glance at us before, who says it's going to be now they catch us?" Olivia mused, throwing her navy rucksack over her shoulder, fixing the dark lensed glasses resting on her nose.
With the roll of his murky hazel eyes, Luke copied her actions, brushing a slender hand through his brown ruffled hair, "Whatever you say Liv.." The teen murmers, following behind the girl as they both begun to sprint towards the exit, swerving past the shattered glass that was decorating the marble floors.
The muffled voices of police officers were sounding from the other side of the door, yells and commands to break the door down alerting the couple as they swung the back door open hurriedly.
A gasp escaped Olivia's parted lips as red and blue flashing lights came into view, blinding them both into a silent stance.
"Ha! Should've seen the look on ya' faces!" A laugh from the far distance sounded, causing a growl to erupt from Olivia.
"That's not funny Ethan! We need to get out of here now!" Olivia exclaims, her past humoured mood changing into a serious tone.
"Yeah, yeah.. I know; Hop in!" The dirty blonde haired male smiles, unlocking the doors to his ebony van, the windows being unable to see through.
Both Luke and Olivia ran eagerly towards the van, hearing the crashes of doors and glass behind them.
Luke's legs tremble as he ran, the loud thumping of his heart beat racing cut off his hearing. Even though it was his millionth time hijacking cars and breaking into many houses and stores, the fear of being caught always ran through his mind at this time of the getaway. Usually frightening him completely.
Olivia, on the other hand, loves the thrill and mystery behind it all, causing the auburn haired teen to get in a lot of dangerous and risky situations. But that was why Luke is always there during her criminal moments, protecting her with everything he had. Nothing could stop Liv from getting what she wanted, so Luke watches over her; even in the most scariest moments of crossfire and murder, hurting Olivia physically or emotionally was a bad move if he was able to witness it.
But it was all for her, as long as he knew she was safe as she climbed clumsily into that van after every event. Nothing else mattered.
