I do not own the Gorillaz, I own Blythe and the way this story is arranged so far.*
•This chapter is dedicated to the Gorillaz, for their awesome music, and inspiring me to buy a melodica.•
Murdoc Niccals paced around the large space that was his damaged, dirty Winnebago. He snatched up a pack of cigarettes from the countertop and furiously pulled out a lighter and set fire to the cancer stick. Oh how he loved to inhale the beautiful smoke, it filled his lungs and made his skin burn with intense pleasure as his worries seemed to be pushed away when he exhaled. He set his free hand onto the cracked countertop, and began to tap his dirty fingernails against the hard surface.
He peered at the file next to his hand. It was a grubby folder with several papers crinkled and stuffed into it. The writing on the tab read: Phoenix, Blythe - Aged 22.
All of a sudden, a ring came from one of the counter drawers. Murdoc opened the one in front of him and fiddled through the junk in it until he found a dusty cell phone. He flipped it open and placed it near his ear.
"Did you find the file?" A husky voice asked.
Murdoc leaned onto the counter and opened the file, some of the papers jumped at him. "Yeah mate, I got it." He inhaled a bit of his cigarette. "It looks quite detailed... Break it down for me so I can get going."
"Well, considering that you don't want her to have a reason to escape, you won't have any trouble with it." The man coughed roughly.
"And why is that?"
"Well, it may sound a bit tragic, but in your case it's convenient. Someone bombed the family reunion she was at, everyone was there, but she was the only survivor. She emerged from the smoke with ash and debris on her, almost like it was a scene from an action movie."
Murdoc pulled out a picture of a ruffled girl walking out of a wall of smoke, her long ginger hair looked frazzled, and her eyes looked gray with sorrow. He smirked at it and picked up another photo of the same girl sitting alone on a public bench, with her head buried in her knees. "Yeah, it would be tragic to lose everyone you love, but it makes it easier for me I suppose. She looks like an easy kitten to snatch up."
The man gave a hearty laugh and then spoke when he calmed down. "You'd better get a move on, she's borderline suicidal. What use does she have to you dead?"
Murdoc pushed the file aside and snatched up a grungy looking duffel bag on the floor and swung it over his shoulder. "Well, I guess I'll be shoving off now then. Send me her things after I take her."
"You got it Mudsie."
Murdoc closed the phone and tossed it back into the drawer. He picked up another picture of the girl, but this time she had her head hanging down. He kissed it.
"See you soon, Kitten..."
