Chapter 10
Dre and I started walking back to my house and it had felt really awkward between us. I guess it is that feeling you get when you find out about someone's secret which you weren't supposed to find out about and they realise you know that secret. Major awkwardness happening right. I know there is definitely an argument or some type of confrontation about to happen anytime soon. I just need to get my thoughts into order because I do not want to go off babbling and embarrassing myself.
I was still getting my thoughts together when I realise I was walking alone. I turn back to see that Dre was standing still looking straight at me. I stopped and waited for him to begin. I was too scared. It felt like a minute went by and Dre had not said something. I was starting to get this weird feeling because it looked like he had turned into stone.
"Uhm Dre we can talk now." He kept looking at me his expression never changing.
I decided to go nearer to him and I waved my hand in front of him I don't know if vampires do blink when you do that but from the looks of it his expression was the same. Then that is when I had realised that I did not hear the insects making a noise because earlier I had heard them. There had also been a light breeze blowing in my face which was gone now.
"This is weird what is going on here?"
"Don't worry it's nothing to panic and please when you turn around do not scream." I turned around to see where the voice had come from.
I did scream!
"Didn't I ask you just now not to scream?"
"Excuse me but I believe that I may have some reason to scream." I had screamed because I was looking at me a very beautiful looking me. It could not be me I or her was too beautiful. She still had her shoulder length curly hair which she wore loose. Although I was in the dark I could see that it had darkened in color. Her skin was spotless, smooth and glowing. Her lip were fuller and had a very natural red color to it, I guess if I was a guy I would definitely want to kiss those lips. Her body was WOW! She had all the curves in the right places and could see that she used it to her advantage. But one thing that made her really stand out was her eyes they weren't my eyes. Her eyes were hazel though the green was more prominent. It was the same ocean green like Dre's.
She curled her lips and smiled and when she smiled it was the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. She laughed and it sounded like the most beautiful tune I ever heard.
"Girl you better stop having thoughts about me like that or you would be considered weird or a narcissus." She kept smiling.
"You can hear my thoughts?" I asked very dumb.
"No I can't hear your thoughts but I do remember what was going through my mind that day." She shakes her head.
"Are you really me?"
"Yes I am only that I'm vampire you now."
"So I become a vampire?"
"Yes you do"
"Really, Oh my word imagine that. No I don't have to imagine it it's going to happen." When I stopped I looked at her to see that she had this sad look on her face but smiled when she saw I was looking at her.
"Yah that is something to be happy about, drinking blood I guess." Damn but if I thought I was sarcastic now the vampire I made it even worse.
"So I guess it is not that cool of a life."
"It depends. Anyway I'm not here to answer questions about your next life,"
"Excuse me but you are talking about yourself you know."
"Whatever, you will know how it is when you get there. Now I am here to tell something important okay."
"Look at that guy there" I turned to look at Dre still staring at me and completely unaware of it.
"Do not push him away keep him very close he is good for you. I know these things are a lot to take but your strong enough. I know I went through it to know. There will be times when you find that these are too much too handle for you but girl it is too late you have to stick through this and stay strong." She pointed at Dre.
"He is going to be someone you can really count on. If there is anyone you trust it will be him. But there will be a time where you need to do something on your own and you cannot have him with you. It is going to a long time. But it's for the best."
" you have got lost now."
"don't worry it will come to but I have to go not because of time I have enough of it but I just want to"
"can I ask you something?" she smiled when I asked this must know what I am going to ask.
"Why is he not moving? or why am not hearing any noise in the forest?"
"it is a gift that I have thanks to you being very aware and observant of this particular thing that it is now my gift."
She had me lost again. But then she smiled and I could see that she was happy.
"don't worry you will only be able to know once your turned. Look before I leave act normal. Go stand there by him and put your left foot in front. Yes like that yes that's right. Pretend nothing happened.
Then she was looking at Dre her expression was that of someone longing for something I guess she is on that journey where she is alone.
"bye." She waved and then she was gone what the hell and just as I thinking how she vanished like that I tripped and someone caught me before I fell and I was getting those sparks. He had got me on my feet.
"Err thanks I am sorry. I'm so clumsy." Oh so this was what you were up to. I shook my head and my eyes were caught looking at those ocean green eyes and thinking how one day that color would be part of my eyes. I would have some part dre in me one day.
