Chapter 1 : L.A. BLUES
3 weeks ago my life was great, now I have to move to L.A. with my father and brother, Brett. I will be the only girl in our new apartment! I has to leave my best friends.
The drive was so long and so boreding, but we finally made it there. I have decided I will hate it here. It's so crowded you can't see the sidewalks!
It was already noon by the time we found the apartment building. I was sent, forcibly I might add, to get the key. When I finally located the front desk a boy around 19 was there. His nametag told me his name was Aaron. I gave for the key and he handed it over.
"Did you like it here so far?", he asked.
I rolled my eyes, yes I do roll my eyes a lot, and asked a question right back. "How can you stand living here?"
He looked me over," You get use to it".
"Whatever", I stated as I walked away.
I walked around the whole damn first floor before I found the elevators. This guy about my age was standing in front of them waiting for it to come down. I do have to say he was a little cutie. He smiled at my and introduced himself as we waited.
"Hello I'm Carver. Did you just move in?"
"Umm, yeah. I'm Katie. Nice to meet you." I said holding out my hand. He stuck out his and we shook hands.
" Ditto, Katie".
When the elevator finally came he asked me what floor I was going to live on.
"15th, I believe that is the top floor." I said unsure of myself. " YAY! Yes that's the top floor and I am on that floor too!"
"Coolio, what number?" "There are only two apartments up there." "Oh, my bad". He laughed "Its cool".
The elevator didn't stop at any other floors. It went straight to ours. As we walked out I saw an emo kid waiting outside a door I believe to be Carver's. "who's that?" I asked. "Oh, He is my boyfriend". I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard that. He looked at me and said "You have the hots for me don't you?"
I blushed and looked away while saying "I don't know what you're talking about".
"You do you do you do".
"Ok fine I did!"
"I know just wanted to hear you say it loud", he said smiling.
"Shut up, he is coming over here."
