Taehyung noticed that he was scared.

So scared that he'd only open 5 letters at a time because guilt was already making his heart hurt as if a knife was stabbed right across his chest. Because he knew he still had a few more letters to go, and he knows that every letter would make him look even more foolish because he was definitely a part of this.

Scanning the box, he already felt so guilty making Jungkook feel that way: alone, hurt, but he couldn't blame anyone but himself.

They were best friends, and they've been friends for years, even reaching the point of knowing each other's parents, doing things and spending their weekends together, visiting each other's houses...

But Taehyung hasn't visited Jungkook's house to see his parents after Jungkook had disappeared. Right after receiving Jungkook's letters which made him feel so bad. Right after opening the first letter and Taehyung thought, as stupid as it might sound, that he won't tell anyone about it.

So putting the box under his bed with the letters inside, he does what he does everyday - what he's good at: pretend that they don't exist.
