The Forest

Chapter 2

I came across a blue wolf. I was fascinated. I wanted to follow it, but I can't. I may be lost in this forest and not know my way to the dragons. The blue wolf looked at me curiously, and then ca,e closer to me.

"Hello there, wolf," I said softly, afraid that it might run away. It came closer and closer until it was at my feet. I was scared if it might bite, so I didn't budge.

"Hi," said the wolf in a low voice,"I would like to accompany you to the Land of the Dragons. It is an honor to meet you, Your Highness."

"Call me Angel. Why would you want to accompany me?"

"I will protect you from any harm on your way, Your Highness—um... I mean, Angel."

"Okay, let's go then."

I was screaming inside that this majestic blue wolf would accompany me. Isn't that cool? Heh, yeah, it is cool if a wolf of your favorite color will accompany you... and talks, too.

I saw the wolf go in another direction from where I was heading. "Um... Where are you going?"

"Oh. Oops, thank you for reminding me."

"What do I call you, blue wolf?"

"Oh, just call me Fornerer."

I feel as though I couldn't trust this wolf. Fornerer has weird emotions and makes me doubt if I will trust him to be with me. "Are you sure you're alright?" I asked.

"Oh yes, yes. No need to worry about me. Heh heh," he laughed nervously.

"Okay then. Let's go."

On the way, I saw something following us. It looked like a human, or maybe a dragon rider. I'm not sure. "Show yourself!" I shouted. Nothing came out. I shouted again and again. Suddenly someone pushed me slightly and said "BOO!". I jumped and tripped on a twig. My face was inches from the floor before strong arms grabbed me and pulled me up.

"You okay?" someone said behind me.

I turned and looked who was behind me. I saw a tall figure behind me. I fully turned around and saw him completely. I was speechless. He was so handsome, so muscular, and so tall.

"Hello?" he said. I looked around if fornerer is still there. Yes, he is. I stared at him once again. He waved his hand in front of my face.

"Y-yes?" I stuttered.

"Are... you okay? You seem pale," he said,"Did I scare you that much? Or I am just very hot?" he smirked.

"No! You didn't do anything. You just... just look..." He reminds me of someone I know. I can't remember.

"Angel, don't you remember me?" he asked.

"I... um... I just forgot your name. I can't remember your name." I frown.

"Well, that's just sad. My name is Richard, if you remember. I haven't seen you in a long time. I miss you. I was trapped here in the forest a long time ago. But I managed to survive by myself."

"Do you have friends here?"

"Yeah. But I hardly talk to them. I just want to be alone. Hey, do you know a guy named Jugee?"

"Oh yeah. He made me a dragon rider. He said about me being the Queen of the Dragon Riders. And now I'm going to go to the Land of Dragons. In a week, I have to have a dragon, or else I die."

"Damn. He did the same thing to me, but the difference here is that he made me a spirit animal tamer thingy— I forgot what it is— if I don't find my spirit animal destined for me in a month, I would die. Harsh, isn't it? And the animal who's accompanying you is my spirit animal."

"This blue fox Fornerer?" I pointed to the blue fox.

"Yeah. I would like to be with you to the Land of Dragons, if you approve."

"Okay." Then he holds my hand and starts walking.
