I opened my locker door and put my books in. I grabbed a small bag of chips that were inside my bag. The 2 girls below me, Ava and Evelyn were gabbing away, grabbing lollies from their bags. They turned to face my legs. They looked at me. I cringed.

"How did you get those scratches?" asked Evelyn.

I turned red and felt the oven inside me turn on once again. Hot tears burned my eyes.

"Why?" I asked defensively.

"You must have been in a bad accident!" said Ava giving me a sympathetic look.

Evelyn looked deep in thought. "My sister had scratches like those... but all over her arms and legs, even her face." she grinned maliciously.

I froze. Evelyn looked familiar, like someone I saw on T.V once. But I didn't like how Evelyn sounded. She was a little strange, like someone had just gone high on drugs

"What was your sisters name?" I urged her.

"Her name was Kylie, why do you ask?" inquired Evelyn.

"You mean Kylie GLEN? But she is dead, she suicided when-" I was cut off when I saw Evelyn ball her fists.

"Sorry." I said and ran towards the drama rooms, which luckily they had shown me when I was having a tour of the school.. They didn't stop me, they just gave me funny looks. I also saw Evelyn laugh happily. I heard one whisper "I hope she never turns out like Kylie."

I picked up the microphone. I was alone in the drama room, I had booked for the lunch break. I was amazed at how big everyone in this school was compared to my old school. My old school was HUGE and old, with aluminium class rooms and mud stained glass. My new school is small with only a few hundred students. Its new and modern with dark tinted windows and dark grey and cream painted classrooms. The drama room I had booked wasn't just a plain room with only a few props. It had a microphone, a few instruments stashed into a huge cupboard named 'Rented Instruments' and had a chest stuffed with costumes and props. I cleared my throat and started singing. I used to take singing lessons before I got anxiety. My drama agent had said I should audition for a musical show called 'Love is all I need' but when I arrived at the auditions, I couldn't face it. The memories of ex friends floated back to me. They used to say I had a voice like an angel, but after the rumours spread, they said my voice was shit and to go **** myself. I gave up singing, and took their advice.

A knock on the door startled me. I nearly screamed into the microphone. I was afraid of my own voice and terrified of others. A young looking girl appeared at the door. She had blonde highlighted hair that curled at the ends and emerald green eyes. She had high cheekbones and had naturally pouted lips. She looked like the model Cara Delevigne.

"The bell for the third period just went." she said flashing a smile.

"Thanks." I replied, showing a tiny smile.

"You have an amazing voice!" she exclaimed walking me to the door.

"Not really." I replied throwing her a sharp look.

"I am a singing teacher, I think I would know who has talent and who doesn't." she replied, raising her eyebrows.

I gawked at her. I hadn't known SHE was a teacher!

"My names Ms Waverly, just a question but have you had acting or singing lessons in the past?"

I wasn't sure If I should tell her. Waves of Anxiety washed over me. I chose to tell her. It the least I could do.

"Yes, I used to do acting and singing lessons but I don't anymore." I said anxiously.

"Your amazing! Why?" exclaimed Ms Waverly. The second bell to call third period went and I took this opportunity as my cue to leave. "Kara, you better go!" Ms Waverly ushered me out the door.
