The blonde man stood tall, holding an iron tipped axe over his head then heaving it down to slice a chunk of spruce.

"There! See boys? That's how you cut kindling wood!" He heartily spoke.

Four little boys no more than 6 years old took turns admiring there father cutting firewood. Each wore a little Inu coat to keep warm from the harsh chilly days.

"Woah....Dad, what's that?" The smallest of the boys cried out, pointing at a little green squirming creature on the wood.

The man laughed "Why my boy, that's a caterpillar!"

"What's a cat-er-pillar?" The little blonde haired child trying to making out, his arms on the woodcutting stump with his head resting on top of them.

The man bent down and put his hands on his knees"A caterpillar is a little tiny bug worm that eats all your crops and turns into a flying beast!"

The boy stepped back in fear and the man simply laughed and ruffled his hair.

"Ugh! Lupe!!" Mino hollered out the front door on the patio of a spruce log cabin. The young women then blew the hair out of her face and tended to making supper once again.

"Yes Dear?" Lupe chirped, taking his wet boots off at the front door and walking to the kitchen.

"You scared Rouge again didn't you?" The women asked sternly.

The man just sneered

"C'mon Honey, I just wanted to have a little fun with the kid!"

The gold haired mother just sighed and stared into his dark blue eyes.

"Sweetie. You know he is scared of basically everything, he's....different from most boys."

"Different is good! I encourage different! My son can be as weird as he wants, it just shows he's mine!"

The man chuckled and sat down at a barstool, resting his elbows on the bar and taking out a small bottle of rum from a pocket inside his shawl.

Taking a quick swig and letting out a relaxed sigh he spoke again.

"I'll talk to him, okay?"

Mino stared at him for a second thinking then went back to stirring meat in a pan.

"Fine."

Lupe slowly opened his smallest sons bedroom door and sat down next to the lump under the animal pelt blanket on a little wooden bed.

"Hey buddy...how are you doing?"

He softly cooed, stroking the lump.

Rouge slowly peeled the covers off him and threw a little wolf pup onto his dad, making him fall backwards onto the bed laughing. The older man chuckled and picked up the pup.

"So this is where you've been you little rascal!"

The pup whined and licked the mans face, which soon called a pack of the families wolves running into the room to bark joyfully at there master, wishing to play. Following the wave of canines came Lupe's other three sons Bleu, Violon, and Vert climbing onto the bed to join Rouge, silently telling there father it was story time.

"Story! Story! Story!" The little boys chanted roughhousing on there dad.

"Story? why you haven't even eaten supper yet!" Lupe laughed out, already knowing he wasn't going to get out of this by the way Vert laid across his lap.

"Alright, Alright, maybe just one.." He said sighing tiredly, stroking Violon's hair.
