CHAPTER ONE
Sebastian told Professor T everything that had happened to the remnants of the Time Council. One by one the members were assassinated. Some hunted down, others drawn out by time disturbances. All ten members killed by Outcasts. The incident Professor T went through was an attempt to draw him out and kill him too.
Apparently, the Outcasts had help. From who was the question Sebastian was trying to find out and Professor T was to continue to stop the advances of the Outcasts while at the same time protecting Matt.
"Before you go brother, I do have one question."
"Yes?"
"Why can't you take Matt?"
Sebastian stopped at the exit. "Tebastian, you know full well that where I am going, l sadly can not bring the boy. Not yet anyway."
Professor T’s shoulders sagged, though he saw the seriousness in his brother’s eyes and understood immediately. He knew that where Sebastian was going, Matt would be both in the way and in danger. That only left Sebastian with the choice of leaving Matt with the Professor, which in a way he was okay with even though he felt a pain from the past.
"Of course brother,” the Professor nodded.
As Sebastian left the time sphere, Professor T turned to Matt. Looking down at the boy, he said; "I knew your father. Sorry for your loss."
"I am glad you knew my dad because I did not. He sent me to boarding school when I was twelve and the only times I saw him was when he visited me every once a year."
Professor T played with his coat nervously. "Well, all I can say is he was just protecting you."
"From what exactly? I mean apparently my dad was part of a doctor who group. Time travel, aliens, even the ship is bigger on the inside. So did you copy doctor who or did doctor who copy you?"
The Professor blinked a couple of times, stunned by the boy’s words though also slightly amused.
"Well it’s more complicated than what is shown in doctor who and we do not have time for this. I can not catch you up so Shrock will have to show you the library and you can try to research what you need there but I am very busy."
With that Professor T left Matt and walked into a hallway all the while shouting for Shrock to take them to the time stream.
Matt continued to sit down where the Professor left him, a monotone look on his face.
"Well that went well," he mumbled.
As soon as the wheezing of the ship's engine finally stopped, Matt went over to the open window to stare out at the time stream.
"It's pretty is it not?"
Matt turned around, not knowing who the voice belonged to. Shrock had walked beside Matt.
"Sir, is there anything you need?"
"Um I...you’re... blue." Matt stammered as he continued to stare at Shrock.
"Yes sir, good observation. My name is Shrock and I am a Chrontist. The Professor has instructed me to guide you to the library but can I get you anything?"
"Um... I am thirsty and a bit hungry."
"Very good I will take you to the library and will bring you your refreshments.”
Twenty text books and two dozen cookies latter Matt stood up to stretch for the thirtieth time.
"Well I can see why he wanted me to read up on this stuff. I mean it sounds more and more like Doctor Who."
