I looked over to my mother as she drove. She had bags under her eyes from driving so long. I believe she has been driving for at lease 13 hours.
"Mom, pull over and let's get something to eat."
She glanced at me nervously.
"Are you going to eat too?"
I sighed. She is still not used to me being a vampire.
"Mom, I can eat real food. I will run by the hospital and get me a few bags once we get there. I can live until then."
She sighed.
"Okay, this is still all new to me."
I looked out the window at the signs.
"I know. It is to me as well. Think, I am the one who became a vampire."
She started getting nervous and her heart started racing.
"How was I supposed to know he was a vampire?"
I put my hand on my mother's arm. She flinched away from me and I sighed.
"It's fine, he hid it well. Now, where are we eating?"
Mom glanced at me.
"I figured we could get a big meal at copper river and then eat when we get there."
I nodded my head.
"I will drive the rest of the way so you can rest."
She got nervous again.
"No, I would like to drive."
I started getting agitated.
"Mother, I am still your daughter. I am still the girl you raised."
She sighed.
"I will leave you the car and fly back, so you don't have to drive back."
I glared out the window.
"Sounds fine."
Once my parents found out that I became a vampire they sent me to live across the United States so I wouldn't hurt my family. The guy who turned me was a friend of my mothers. He apparently like me a little too much and bit me.
I get to live in my own house and do whatever I want. My parents will pay for the house and groceries but I have to pay for my clothes and gas for my car which means I have to find a job.
"We are here."
I get out of the car and we go inside and get seated.
"So, I guess I can go ahead and give you the card for your groceries. Call every once in a while to update us on how life is. I will call you t tell you about when family gatherings are."
I nodded my head and she looked in her purse and slid a card over to me. I put it on top of my phone and flipped my phone upside down.

Later on, after diner I had convinced mom to let me drive the rest of the way. She fell asleep soon after I got back on the highway and she slept the rest of the way. I pulled up into the small house that my parents got for me.
I looked over at my mom and gently touched her arm and she jumped awake and looked at me scared.
I sighed.
"We here, mom."
I turned off the car and went to the trunk to get my things. I grabbed my suitcase and mothers and her other bags as well.
"Did you get my bags?"
I closed the trunk and looked at my mom. She was on her phone outside of the car door and she was typing furiously.
"Yes, I did. Now, let's get inside."
"Oh, no. I am going to be sleeping at a hotel."
I glared at my mother.
"Sleep here, I won't be back until morning anyway. I am just going to set my stuff inside and leave. Make yourself comfortable."
She looked at me worried.
"What are you going to do?"
I hardened my glare at my mother.
"I shouldn't be surprised at how lowly you think of me."
I sighed.
"If you must know, I am going to ride around town to look for a job to get job applications for tomorrow."
She sighed a sigh of relief. My comment didn't even faze her.
"Okay, then let's get inside."
I walked up to the door with all the bags and struggled to get the door open.
Once I got the door open mom shoved me away and walked inside. With every passing minute this woman starts to anger me further. I am glad she is leaving soon.
I walked inside and set the bags down. I closed the door and walked to the kitchen. My mom jumped when she saw me.
"I thought you left."
I glared at my mother.
"No, this is after all my house. I am getting something to drink. I will leave after I look at the house."
"Technically this is my house and your fathers-"
I ran up to her and held her throat in the air to where she couldn't touch the floor.
"I have had enough of your side comments. You decided that you did not want me anywhere near you or the rest of the family. I am okay with it. Then you have to shove it in my face that you are scared of me. You are leaving as immediately as possible tomorrow. Tomorrow morning I am taking you to the airport and you are leaving. Understood?"
She nods her head and I let go. I turn around and start walking away when I hear my mother grab something and run towards me. I turn around fast and grab her arm with the knife.
"Wow, my own mother trying to kill me."
She has tears running down her face.
"You think I have changed? Well, you have changed me mother. You will not get to see the same girl you used to know. You get to see the girl you think that I have become."
I let go of her hand and take the knife.
"You know this won't kill me."
I twist it in my fingers and hold the handle out to my mother.
"Take it and stab me in you really want, but make sure you look into my eyes while you do it."
I see my mother struggle with the conflict inside of her. She grabs the knife and fresh tears were pouring out of her eyes. She starts taking shallow breaths and looks down at the knife. She wipes away her tears and looks me in the eyes. I hold out my arms beside me with my palms facing upward.
"Do it."
My mom screams and stabs me in the stomach. She pulls it out and stabs me again. She ends up stabbing be five times in total. She leaves the knife in me the fifth time and staggers back. I look down at me and back to her. I look into her eyes and take out the knife.
"You didn't look me in the eyes while you did it."
She looked back up at me from staring at her bloody hands.
"No, leave. I have had enough."
I chuckle.
"Whatever. I will see you in the morning."
I grab the car keys and walked outside to the car. I get into the car and drive off. I drive around town until I find gas station. I park the car and go inside and buy gauze and a towel. The man who checked me out looked at me weird.
"I think you should go to the hospital."
I smiled at him.
"I will be fine. Thanks though."
He smiled back and gave me my stuff. I walked to the car and went to the trunk and got out small bag of a change of clothes I always keep in my car. I walk back inside and walk to the bathroom and clean myself up and change into clean clothes. I walk out and nod to the guy and leave. I look around town for the hospital and get a few blood bags and left I drank them all while searching for a bar. After finishing them I finally found a bar. I parked and hid the blood bags in the glove department and got out of the car and locked it. I walked inside and sat at the bar. I could feel a lot of eyes on me and sighed. The bartender walked up to me and asked me what would I have.
"The strongest thing you have."
He nodded his head. I felt someone walk up to me and sit down beside me on my right.
"I will have the same thing as she is."
The bartender nodded his head and made us both drinks and set them down in front of us.
"Why are you in town?"
I look over to the guy and he must be around my age.
"I moved here. Why?"
"You tell me why is a vampire moving into a werewolf town?"
I take a swig of the drink and look at the guy in the eyes. He looks at me and we just sit there looking into each others eyes. My stomach starts feeling sick and I look away.
"My parents found out about me being a vampire and bought a house that was on the other side of the US and told me i was going to live there. That is why I am in werewolf territory."
"I am guessing you are the reason there was a call to the police by your mother saying that you beat her up and left. I guess you also were the one who stole the missing blood bags."
I sigh and drown the rest of the drink down. I slammed the drink down on the table and I realized it has been quiet ever since I got in here. Whatever.
I looked over to the guy.
"You want an explanation?"
He chuckled.
"Yeah, I would. You already are causing trouble. You hurt your mother."
I glared at the guy.
"You have no idea what that lady has done."
"Like what? You choked her?!"
I stood up and glared at him.
"My mother stabbed me five times! Like hell I wouldn't hurt her back. I only choked her because she had been fucking talking trash the whole way here. Acting scared and flinching at me. She said that she didn't know that the guy was a vampire and how was it her fault. She damn brought the vampire home and he bit me! She is the reason why I am a vampire! She is the reason why I can't see my family anymore! She is the reason why I had to move! So hell yeah I choked her. Then she turns around and stabs me."
I look to the bartender.
"Give me another round."
He nods his head and started working on the drink.
"Your mother never said such thing. I even asked her myself if there was anything else."
If you looked there would still be blood stains on the floor and on her hands. There would be a knife out as well. If you want even more proof I can show you the stab marks if they have not already healed."
He sighed and turned around.
"Why the hell not. Show me the stab marks."
I raised my shirt and slowly pealed off the bandaging I had placed on not too long ago.
Once I had finished I looked at the wounds and they were still bleeding slowly.
"Your still bleeding."
I rolled my eyes.
"Guess that means I am still anew vampire."
"Or you need more blood."
I looked at the guy and he sighed.
"Okay, I guess you are not that much trouble you are just bad luck."
I chuckle.
"Yeah I guess so."
