'Sennin'

THALIA

Thalia Adler sat comfortably on her chair, her legs propped up on her table, with her goggles over her eyes. She had a tiring week, battling from city to city, town to town, place to place. Training the newbies, and meetings that she had with the others that just bore her to death. Well, she is dead. Technically. She's a Ghost, another dead dude or dudette who came back to life. 

"September 17 2194..." she muttered to herself, "... another normal day to waste again." She didn't mind saying those words. She was alone anyway, in her room, doing nothing.

She pressed a small button on the side of her right goggle and a holographic screen popped out. Her email box is flooding with messages, mostly fanmail or lovemail from the other Ghosts, but she feels too lazy to read or delete them all. She flicked her finger on the screen and swiped it like a touchscreen phone, and pressed the Internet icon. She started reading comics and shounen mangas online, until the alarm went off. Damn it, what is it now?

The door banged open and a 18 year old boy came running in, his hair was like a birds nest and he was coated in sweat, "Miss Thalia, we need you right now!"

She got her legs off the table and sat upright, "What's happening?"

"Intruders... They're from the military!"

Thalia didn't answer nor hesitate. She quickly got up, and took her waist- length leather jacket and gloves, "Where are they?"

"They're in the punishment court... Katsuo is interrogating them." he answered.

Thalia clicked her tongue, "Just go right ahead...," she slung her M24 sniper rifle gun over her shoulder, "... I'll be there."

The CORPSE headquarters are located under New York City, and no one from above knows it. The whole HQ is pretty much like the New York City underground, only with dorms for the newbies, a training area, a courtroom, and a punishment court. The punishment court are mostly used to Ghosts who broke the rules or needed to be taught a lesson, but it can also be used for cocky instruders that dare to go into their turf.

As Thalia got nearer, she can already hear the screams and shouts of the people inside. She walked through a long arched hallway until she reached two metal doors. She can hear Katsuo's laugh and the other Ghosts' chants to hit him more. She took a deep breath before she opened the doors.

A huge gym-like room appeared before her. Bleachers were on the each side with people, who were screaming their hearts out until they saw her. It was so quiet that you even hear a pin drop. In the middle of the court were the intruders cuffed against a metallic pole. Blood all over their mouths and temples, with huge bruises on their faces. The whole room suddenly grew silent when she came in, and the only sound that can only be heard was the heavy panting of the beat-up soldiers and Katsuo's chuckle, "Well, well, welcome Commander Adler, join us!"

"Back off now, Yamanaka. Leave this to me." she said, her cold blue eyes staring into the two intruders.

Katsuo suddenly grabbed one of the soldier's head and said, "Now here comes our Commander... Good luck. If I were you, I would answer politely." 

Katsuo then walked away from the men to Thalia, he stops at her side and placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked at him and he gave her a small nod. Thalia then walks toward the two soldiers as the sound of her black Goth boots clacking against the marble floor. 

Thalia stood in front of the two men, probably in their mid twenties, looked up and stared at her with fear. Two of them had a shaved head, one was slightly tanned while the other was fair skinned. Their faces were almost unrecognizable because of all the blood and bruises, but on their chest pockets were golds bar with their names imprinted on them.

"Gale Riess and Robert Springfield..." the soldiers perked up when they heard their names. Thalia crouched down in front of them, "Listen here, you have to tell me everything about on why you're here and where you come from. It's pretty clear that you're from the military, but no one in the whole world except for us knows about this place. I'm going to give you two questions and you have to answer quickly... or else...and remember..." she leaned in closer and whispered between them, "... the word 'gentle' isn't in my dictionary."

"First thing's first..." she said, "... what are you doing here?"

The tanned soldier, Gale, answered first, "We were sent here."

"By who?"

"Our Commander." the fair man, Robert, said.

"Ok. Second question, What's your purpose here?"

"To spy on you. To learn your secrets on how you are created."

Thalia stared at them for a few seconds then laughed so hard, "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." she said, "No way in seventy hells you and especially your Commader will know about us." 

"W-Will you let us go now?" asked Gale, trembling.

Thalia squinted her eyes at them and kicked Gale in the stomach, "I'm sorry boys, but that doesn't work that way..." she smirked, "... anyone that's not a Ghost who enters on our quarters... will be killed..." she then turned to Katsuo, "Yamanaka, you know what to do..."

Katsuo gave her a wide grin, "Oh yeah..."

Thalia then looked at the crowd who are still silent until now then headed straight for the doors.

As she got out, the sounds of screams in pain and death rang in her ears.
