It was December 23th, and Rykell already felt the loneliness around her. She was one of those people who every year waited anxiously for Christmas season, but not this time. This time, she didn't want it to come. Unlike other young girls, for Rykell, Christmas was more than gifts, party, and food. She liked to spend that time with her family, friends, and her love, the only one she knew. The lady fell in love at a very young age. He was a very handsome young men with beautiful brown eyes. Eyes that could capture the attention of any women around him. Rykell was extremerly sad, she wanted to be with him, but there was a terrible barrier between the lovely couple, distance. Distance is what made their life miserable, especially, hers. She loved him so much that she could not look at any other man in years. Since Rykell left, she worked hard every year to buy a ticket and go back to her beloved fiancé for christmas. This year, things were more difficult, the young teen could not fine a job that could fit her college schedule. She didn't have the money to buy a ticket, and her love could not fly to the country she lived. It was a difficult love. They had passed so much together, but now, he didn't want to wait anymore. He was tired of her absentness. He want her by his side, and not by the other side of the screen. Rykell tried so hard to fix what they had build in years, but a relationship is something for two. Even if they were not together in a relationship like they were several years ago, they were a couple united by love. There's a love that occurs just once in life, and that was theirs. He didn't give as much importance to Christmas as she did. He had lost part of his emotions because of her. For him, it was easier to forget those things. She was the kind of person that give importance to every little detail. She cried all night because he was not by her side. It was almost Christmas and she could not feel the happiness she felt last year when she was with him. She was broken. He was not present. "There's not Christmas if you are gone..." that's all she could think about. It was a cold winter. The tress were sad by the absence of their leaves. Even the nature was moved by her broken pieces. Rykell looked at her photos of last year with him. They were so happy together, nothing could harm their love if they were side by side. It was December 24, Rykell stayed alone at home. Her family was visiting her older sister to have dinner all together. She said she wasn't feeling ok to go, so she stayed. But nobody could see her pain. She was dying. Her love was not with her, she only wanted to be with him even if it was just for a few seconds. She missed him so bad, she wanted to crossed that line. The one she hadn't been able to cross aver all those years of love. Rykell stayed up all night waiting for a message that never came. It broke her even more. She regretted going away although it was for a better future. Nobody knew the demons inside her head. All Rykell wanted was him. Another Christmas with his beloved man, but she didn't know if he loved her anymore. He had changed so much like if a stranger had kidnaped him, and replaced him with a stupid copy of her lovely young man. Everybody was out enjoying the night while she was at home killing herself with sad music and staring at their photographs. She cried to herself until she fell asleep. She got a text from him saying, "Merry Christmas. Love you." When Rykell woke up the following morning, she read his text which made her feel alive ageing. It was not too much, but for her, it was enough. Distance was nothing compared to her love for him. He was her everything. It was a love that was difficult to find those days. The truly one. She replayed with excitement, "I love you so much more. You don't know how difficult it is for me to expend a Christmas without you." Love is more than physical company.
