Then all of the sudden we hear a scream. I follow the sound to a cliff. I look down and see an army of Rouges and a small family being pinned against the cliff wall.
I run down there full speed and grab the family. I bring them back to the cabin and put a spell on the cabin so it's hidden.
I run back out and stand in the middle of a clearing.
The rouges start piling into the clearing.
"Well, well, well. Look who we have here."

Chapter 8

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here." Sebastian started. "If it isn't the Shadow Princess. Just who we're looking for."
"What do you want Sebastian?" I said in a deathly tone. "Why Sawyer I want you. Now you have two choices. One is come with me without a fight and two is let me slaughter your family in front of you. Your choice." He told me.
I already had my decision. He had Carter with a knife to his throat. I would go with him and do anything and everything he wanted me to do.
"I'll do as you wish under one condition." I spoke softly. "And that is?" He asked. "I come with you and do anything and everything you want as long as you protect them. Protect my family and friends and I'll do as you wish." I told him.
Sebastian chuckled. "Good deal girly. I accept."
He let Carter go and then we were off.
Then I was off to protect my loved ones.

**3 years later**

Carter's POV

It's been three years since Sawyer got taken. She made that stupid choice to protect me. To protect her loved ones.
I can't forget her. My parents keep trying to get me to marry someone else but I can't stop thinking about Sawyer.

As I sit in my office stressing out over all the work I have to do I remember that today is the anniversary of Sawyers departure. If you can call it that.
"Sir we have reports of rouge activity on the outside of our territory." My Beta came and told me. "I'll be right there." I said as I ran my hands down my face.
Let's go find out the problem.

Sawyer's POV

"Sawyer love. Come here please." Sebastian called. I rolled my eyes but put on a fake smile.
"Yes Sebastian." I said while trying not to gag. "Come help me. I'm stressed." He said while smirking.
I put my hands behind my back and grabbed the gun I'd hidden in my pants.
I walked over to him and stood behind him.
I pulled the gun out and put it to his head.
"Three years I've done what've you told me to do. Three years of acting like I love you. It's time for me to go home. Where I really belong." I said. I then pulled the trigger.
I walked out of Sebastian's office to find guards surrounding me. "Did you really think I'd let you go that easily?" I heard Sebastian ask from behind me.
"I knew it wouldn't be easy. I also knew that it would get all of you together. It worked." I said with a smirk.
I killed the men and then ran out of that house.
I ran to the edge of Carter's territory.

**1 week later**

After one week of staying out of Carter's territory he finally comes.
"Good to see you Carter. Long time no see." I said while walking out from behind a tree.
"Sawyer? Is it really you?" Carter asked with tears in his eyes. I nodded.
He beckoned me forward, so I walked to him.
I jumped in his arms until we heard a sound behind us.
We turned around to find my family.
"You're alive."
