Rejected mate

Chapter 8

I woke up from a very and I mean VERY loud banging on the door. I wonder who is that? I noticed a clock near the bed and when I looked it showed 7:40am. Adam said he would be here at 8am, but I think he probably came earlier. I lazily got out of the bed and slowly walked towards the door. When I opened it, in front me stood Tina. I wonder what she's doing here?

''Oh my.. Thank god you're here, you need to get out of here. Please, you have to leave!'' she whisper-shouted.

''What? Why?''

''I heard Adam speaking to some Alpha named James. He told him that you are here and he will have to arive at his mansion at 3pm, to get you back.'' she said waving her hands around.

''But I don't know any Alpha named Ja... Oh my god! He's my mate who rejected me! I need to get out of here but where do I go? What if he catches me? Oh no, I can't let that happen..'' 

''Liana, calm down, you can stay in my place,but be quick, and I will give you the directions to my house. Also take this bottle, it will cover your scent.''

I took the bottle and sprayed it around me. And let me tell you it doesn't smell nice. If you would go in a room where are dead animals around, that would be the smell on me now.

''Ok,here's the map to get to my house'' she said and handed me a piece of paper written in some kind of language.. But I don't know that language.

''But I don't know what it means. How I have to read it?'' 

''We don't have much time, here take this mirror and go out of here, you have to place this piece of paper in front if this mirror and you will see where to go. Now get out! We will meet in the evening.''

I rushed out of the hotel, like my butt was on fire. But I wonder if my butt would really be on fire, would it hurt? I know that has to hurt but how much? And I guess it would be burned and... Okay, Liana! You have concentrate! Now let's see where this map leads to.

2 hours later

Okay, I've been walking around for 2 god dammit hours, and I haven't found anything. I wonder if this map is real. My legs are killing me but I won't stop, because then, I would risk my life. And now I don't want to do that, because finally my life is almost normal. Except, I have to run from my mate which is a monster.

'He is NOT a monster!' my wolf shouted.

'Well look who's speaking now! Why do you talk to me when I mention something bad about our 'perfect' mate? When I seriously need you, you won't even talk to me, not even a simple sound comes from you. So why?!'

'Because I talked to his wolf and he seems very friendly and I believe that our mate after awhile will be like his wolf too.'' she said.

'Let me get this straight for you, he will never and I mean NEVER be like his wolf, because most werewolves are nothing like their wolves. Some, don't even get along very well and I think that one is of you and me. I mean I love you and respect you but most of the time you are driving me nuts. So if you will talk to me just about our mate, then don't even talk to me at all'

I know what I said was harsh. But she deserves it. I don't know if his wolf is friendly, but the wolf's owner isn't and he will never be.

'I guess you're right' she started. 'I promise that from now on I will talk to you anytime you want to talk to me. I admit it, I was selfish because I thought just about myself and I really didn't bother to think what's best for you'

'You know if I could hug you right now, I would.' I said.

She just laughed, well more like barked, at me and that's how our conversation ended.

 Okay, I think that I'm lost. I am walking here about for 3 hours and still hadn't saw and found anything. That map is no use. I thought that I followed everything command, but I think I made a mistake somewhere.

All I see is trees and a lot of bushes, also I see a fake bush.. Wait, a fake bush? A fake bush would be only needed to cover things and if I'm right under the bush will be a lid and under the lid will be a ladder which will show the way down.

I carefully tip toed towards the bush. Who knows what creature will come after me. And I'm still curious about Adam. I mean, he looked like a really nice person, but I guess looks could be deceiving. 

When I finally reached the bush I lifted it and put it near the tree I was standing. At first, all I saw was just leaves. So I brushed off them, and I saw a lid. When I opened, there was a ladder. I guess I'm a genius. I just figured it out all by myself. Okay enough bragging about me.

I tried to look further down there, but I didn't see anything. It was pitch black. So the person I am, I carefully stepped down the first stair. Now you are wondering. Why would I go in there, if I even don't know if that's Tina's home. Well you should know that I'm just very curious. You know? Curiosity killed the cat... But the satisfaction brought it back.

Talking about killing, I remember how I wanted to be dead from all the pain I received. And now look at me. I'm still very skinny, my hair is greasy, my clothes are dirty and I'm running from my mate, who's an Alpha. Well I have to admit it. My life now is slightly better, because I don't get bullied like I was before.

 As I climbed down the ladder, I heard some rustling. Who could that be? I turned around but I didn't see anyone. Maybe it was just a rabbit or a wolf. Those kind of creatures have respect for us, werewolves.

Then I heard a small whimper. 

Okay, now I don't care what's down the ladder, but I am not staying here on surface. I climbed the ladder and closed the lid. I know that someone could open it like, right now, but my mind isn't working correctly. Call me a cry baby, but after my horrible past I'm even scared of leaves rustling.

When I got down I noticed a small candle which stood on the table. I walked towards it, and picked it up. It wasn't such bright light to see everything, but I could see, where I was going.

While I was walking, I bumped into a wall. I guess I was too much distracted by my own thoughts. Good thing the candle didn't flew out from my hands.

But... Wait. This isn't a wall, it looks more like a chest. What the..?

Near the 'chest' was a light switch, I switched it on and nearly started screaming.

The room was like a sacrifice room. There were body's everywhere. Blood on the floor, on the body's. Even some heads were cut of. What kind of place is this? Then I noticed how bad this room smelt.

How I didn't noticed it from the beginning of the ladder. I guess, I was too scared to smell anything.

This place is creepy, and I have to get out of here. I looked around but I didn't find any ladders. But, when I got here, there was a ladder, and I'm sure as hell, I didn't dreamed about it.

So, to sum up, there is no ladder, a room with body's everywhere, also a horrible smell and me being here.

And now the only thought swirling in my head is... How do I get out of here?
