Moving On Is Hard To Do

The next day, Kara took Alex's advice and went to L-corp to talk to Lena, but if she pushed her away this time, she would still see Lena but as Supergirl.

When Kara got to L-corp, Jess at the front desk buzzed Lena's office.

"Yes." Lena answer after Jess buzzed her.

"Kara Danvers is here to see you." Jess replied. Lena didn't want to see her, but she could be here on business so she said, "send her in."

The door open and Kara walked in, adjusting her glasses before she closed the door behind her and walked up to Lena's desk.

"Good morning, Ms. Danvers." Lena said standing up to greet Kara. She was taken aback by that, but shook hands with Lena before saying, "good morning to you too Ms. Luthor."

"What can I do for you?" Lena asked. She offered Kara a seat by the desk. After she sat down, Lena walked around back to her desk and sat down in her office chair.

"I heard that Supergirl paid you a visit last night." Kara said starting the conversation. Lena's heart pricked up a beat and Kara regret asking the question because she made have just made Lena feel a little uncomfortable.

"She stopped by and we had a little conversation." Lena said. Kara was surprised by how Lena answered her so calmly when her heart was beating so fast.

"Are you jealous?"Lena added. This time it was Kara's turn to get a little uncomfortable. She started fiddling with her glasses and then she started playing with a button on her shirt.

"Dodging the question, are we Ms. Danvers?"

"No." Kara said getting a little defensive towards Lena.

"Relax, I'm just teasing." Kara did relax then asked, "did she want something from you?"

"I think she was just checking in on me." Kara nodded. "I just have one more question, but its not Supergirl related.

"What is it?" Lena asked. Kara was nervous, she wished that sometimes she had confidence like Supergirl, Lena or Alex, but it was something she was getting better at.

"Do you still love me?"

Lena sighed, she was hoping that Kara wouldn't ask that question. She knew the answer, but she wanted to keep to herself although Supergirl guessed right last night when she said that Lena believe that Kara deserved to be with someone better. She was too damaged and Kara was sweet and at times geeky, but that why she fell in love with Kara in the first place.

"We talked about this Kara." Lena said. There was a little warning tone in her voice telling Kara not to push this, she took the hint and stood up.

"Thank you for your time Ms. Luthor. I'll see myself out."
