The Best Birthday Ever

"Hey, guys and welcome to GTLIVE!" MatPat announced in a much more excited voice than usual. After all, it was his birthday yesterday, why wouldn't he be excited? He was a bit suspicious, though, he was told for his birthday live stream that he was going to be repeatedly sabotaged and tortured somehow. Steph constantly staring at the front door wasn't helping his suspicions either.

*Ringing Doorbell*

Jason, haveing been let in on a certain birthday plan, was trying to get Stephanie to get up to 'greet' the first and main surprise of the stream.

Stephanie got up from the famous couch to go get the door, while Matthew just sat there with a puzzled look on his face. She didn't seem surprised like he did, did she know something he didn't? Of course, she did, even, Jason did apparently.

"Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Dear Matthew, Happy Birthday To You!" Jirard, Alex, Steph and Jason sang so cheesily.

Matthew knew something else had to be there, something torturous as his wife had promised him, besides the smell of the burning cupcake tin. But after he blew out the candles, it was presented to him, the new Mario party. His face lit up, but not with rage, with a surge of happiness. He had uncanny luck whenever it came to Mario Party of any kind.

Everybody enjoyed the raging that it brought them that stream, even Alex, although he had the most annoying time of losing stars at every turn. Finally, the stream had come to a close, everybody in the chat wished an overjoyed MatPat 'Happy Birthday!' and it was done. 

After the stream much like every other stream, Matthew and Steph had waited for Jason to shut down everything for the stream and go home to his own fiancee. Stephanie wanted to give him a kiss the entire time but since they agreed to no PDA in front of coworkers, they had to control themselves even when the chat wanted it to happen.

But now they were alone, no Jason, Jirard, Alex, just Matthew and Stephanie, staring into each other's eyes, wondering how they ever managed to find their better half. Steph quietly nuzzled into Matthew's chest, hearing his tremendous heartbeat. After 5 years of marriage, his heart rate still sky-rocketed whenever they were near each other.

"Steph, this could not have been a better birthday, even if it really wasn't on my birthday"

"The day after is still pretty close, now, I've got one last present for you."

"But, you've already given me the best present ever, you. Without you in my life, I would be nothing, the channel would be nothing, I would just be stuck in a depressed loop with no one to look to when I'm wound up and just need to talk. Now I have you."

"I could never beat that speech, so I might as well not even try, but I can still kiss you"

They both leaned in still snuggled on the couch, and even though they were both almost 30 they kissed like they the teens they had fallen in love as.

"Happy Birthday Matthew"

"It couldn't be happier one at that"
