From the Byrne's house to the Royal Academy of Mages took only about fifteen minutes to reach there. So the only reason that Mist did not stay in the boarding house was to check the system that she created to do the manual work of the house and because it was the holidays. Oh, sure, the Brynes' were grateful but the kids were jealous because of the attention that she had received. The stuff that they did to her almost made her want to stay at the Academy during the holidays. However, one incident managed to gain her the upper hand. Seeing their faces after they realised what they had done was hilarious.

Mist grinned at the memory. It made her almost oblivious to the stares directed at her. Almost. Mist had thought that the neighbours would quit staring at her once that they got used to seeing an Archmage. Besides, she lived beside them for seven years already! Oh, but she was wrong. The stares made her lose her grin and left her in a bad mood.

Once they reached the Academy's gates, Mist eyes widened at the number of coaches arriving at the gates. She almost hid behind Silver as a habit, but she couldn't. Not when she was the Archmage as stated loud and clear with her black robes and golden sash tied around her waist. The Archmage was one of the top ranks in the world, the second highest if fact. Only a Grand Sage can beat an Archmage and he's the principal and old.

Mist sighed. This was going to be hard after all. She could already feel the staggering weight of the eyes looking at her. She sighed again, closed her eyes and tried to gather her courage. Opening her eyes, Mist walked on. Seeing everything and nothing, her hardened eyes took everything in: coaches avoiding her, curtains fluttering open or close. Mist endured it all, after all she won't exactly be interacting with them.

Mist avoided people along the corridors. Before entering the class, she drew in a deep breath and threw open the gigantic oak doors.
