His Little Secret

A/N :: First of all, am sorry for my bad english since it is not my mother language 😂 anyway this is my first fanfiction, so please enjoy~

 It's an another peaceful day, where you were just standing alone at the balcony. As far as your eye sees, the astonishing city, Insomnia, still amazes you. Plus, it is under the warm sunshine now, which makes it more beautiful. You've been living there for 2 years yet it feels like you just been here for days. However, the only spot where you can see whole Insomnia perfectly from above is this place, the top floor's balcony of royal citadel. 

You can see vechiles and people passing by. There are a lot of firework types and new year themed stuffs put up on sale.You find it amusing looking at them, yet it is hard to hear the voices from below. All of a sudden you spotted a black Audi R8, which you know whose is it. The prince and husband of yours, Noctis Lucis Caelum. It stopped right in front of citadel's entrance, and you saw Noctis along with his buddies, Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus hop out. You thought about going to down there and greeted them. Yet you still pissed off, since Noctis didn't let you go with him before.

--Flashback--

"Hey, Noct! I heard from Prompt that we're going for a day right~? I can't wait!" You approached the ravenette 
"Not you, us."
"Eh?" Puzzled with he just said, you blinked few times.
"We're going for some hunt. This time you're not going with us."
"Wait.. What?!! Why?"
Noctis kept his mouth shut after that. He won't say anything, not even the reason why is he not letting you go with him. And there is an awkward silence.
"... Am i just a bother..?" You clenched your fists.
"N-no, it's not that (y/n)..! I'm just.."
He grab your shoulders, trying to calm you down. You slapped his hands off from your shoulder. 
"You know what?! Do what you want. I wanted to spend new year with you, but i guess you dont understand, huh.. "
"(Y/n), you're not a bother.. I didn't mean to--" Not able to finish his words, you warped to upstair then runs toward your room.

--Present--

You sighed, letting your chin rested at your palm and thought of yourself as probably the dumbest woman in this world.
".. It is true that he didn't tell me the reason why he wouldn't let me for hunting, but i shouldn't have act like that..."
Thinking of what should you do next, you decided to... Apologize.
You know, Noct isn't that kind of person who would do something for no reason at all. Even though you wanted to go with him, you wanted to spend new year with him...
Just when you already make your mind up, you heard footsteps and it is getting near. Rather than hiding or approach the footsteps, you stayed on your spot.
"Oh.. Uh.. Hey, (y/n).."
"Hey Noct. Whats up?"
"Nothing much.."
Noctis's steps getting near, but you heard another heavy steps, and you know that's obviously Gladio's.
You turned around and saw Noctis standing a few steps away from you, with both of his hands hiding behind. Gladio just standing a bit far than Noctis.
"Noct has something for you, (y/n)."
"Wait. W-what.. I do..?" You can see that both of Noct's ears are red. There is a silence between. Nor one of you speak up.
"Um.." You decided to speak first, but..
"Here."
Noct hands you a bouquet of white flowers.
"W-wait.. Is this.."
You stared at your husband, can't believe what he just gave you. Those white flowers, you knew them. They are rare yet considered as most beautiful. You know that the only way to get those is to get inside a deep cave at southern side, and you know it is a dangerous place with a lot of daemons lurking around.
"For me..?" 
Noctis nodded slightly.
"Look, (y/n).. I am so sorry for what happened yesterday. I told you not to come because of this. I'm scared that you might get hurted, after all it was a dangerous place. And... I wanted to give you a little suprise.."
You took the bouquet then hold his hands, shaking your head.
"No.. It is also my fault. I got too emotional~" You giggled and you found him smiling warmly.
"I want to spend this new year with you, Noct."
"Me too, my Queen."
You pick a flower and slip it onto Noct's pocket.
"Happy New Year, Noctis. I love you."
He chuckled then pick another flower and slip it above your ears.
"I love you too, (y/n)."
