Nialls POV

I looked around as I drove around the streets of Silver Creek. The tour had ended back in October, and I had gone home for a while and visited the family. Now, I had gone back to look for Rylie. I wasn't sure if I still liked her, or if I ever did to begin with. I just need to clear things up with her, get them back in order, maybe even become friends. We used to text each other, but for some reason it stopped. I'm really not sure why.

I had gotten Paul to do some research on her, so I could see if she still lived in Silver Creek, and where. I turned on to a little street, where I saw a zebra crossing and a side walk. There was a girl walking with a beanie on her head, a red hoodie on her top half and some blue jeans on the bottom half. She also wore a pair of simple converse. I wonder who that could be? It was Rylie.

I quickly pulled over next to the side walk and stepped out of my car. Slamming the door, a walked around the car and turned to face her. She looked the same, but different. Her blue eyes had stayed the same, electric and alive. She looked about the same size, but maybe a tiny bit smaller. She had the same olive color skin-light from her dad and dark from her mom. Her face was red and rosey from the cold, and she looked so beautiful. Her face showed one expression. Scared.

"Hello!!" I said waving at her.

"Hi." She said through a sad, less Rylie-like voice.

"What's wrong?" I asked, knowing something wasn't right. Honestly, I think I do know, I just want to here her say it.

"Well, first can we catch up on what happened while you and I were apart?" She asked shivering a bit.

"Yes, but you look cold. Step inside my car. We don't have to make out this time." I said with a smirk.

"Niall, that's not funny." She said her eyes watering.

"Fine, I know, I'm sorry. But please let's just talk." I said opening the door to the passengers seat.

"Ok." She said with a sigh, as she stepped into my Range Rover.

I closed the door behind her and went back to the drivers seat. "So what's happened lately?" He asked just staying there.

"Well, Athena and I got an apartment and I have a job at the local Bakery. My little brother, Corey, hates me now because of our thing. He gets bullied at school about it for some reason. I deleted my twitter, causing me to loose 97.5k and my Instagram, another 88k. Directioners everywhere hate me and say I'm a sin to the fandom." She paused as a tear fell. "They say you never liked me and that you never will. That I'm fat and ugly and nothing that you need."

This was bad. And the fact I didn't have anything to say back to her was even worse. "Rylie-I'm sorry. It's-I'm-we... I don't really have any thing to say..." I said, feeling like an idiot.

"Well is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"Did y-you ever-r like me?" She asked as another tear slipped out of her eye.

"I honestly don't know. That's what I came back to find out. But Rylie, please don't listen to anything they said to you. You're beautiful and perfect. You're not fat or ugly." I said, trying to make my response some what comforting.

"But they still might be right... About you never liking me...?" She said looking at her shoes with quiet eyes.

"Rylie, I don't know. I'm sorry." I said.

"Yeah, I know you're sorry, but I have to get back so-" she said as I cut her off.

"Please, let me drive you. You look very, very cold." I said, wanting to be as nice as possible.

"Fine." She said putting on her seat, belt.

"Show me the way!" I said pulling away from the curb.

"Ok turn left here, and then head down this road." She said pointing to some streets.

"Yeah, uh huh, why do you still wear the hoodie I let you borrow?" He asked looking at me with a smirk.

"Ummm..." She said, her face turning even more red as she bit her lip. "It's comfy and soft."

"Yeah, sure it is." I said, knowing there was more to the story.

"It is!" She said with a smile.

"Glad I could make you smile, I had been dying to do that." I said with a laugh.

"Well if you were so eager to, why didn't you return my texts?" She said, creating a very dramatic mood change.

"Really, Rylie? It's all a good mood and it's all happy, but then you have to come along and make it bad again." I said, not thinking about what an asshole I had just sounded like. "Rylie that came out wrong..."

"Yeah it did. Sorry to ruin things for you." She said closing her eyes.

"You didn't but damn it, Rylie, I just thought about you a lot and I didn't even know if I really liked you or if I had just felt the urge to do something. I didn't know what I thought of you, but honestly when I look back, it was just some fan who was obsessed with me and I couldn't get rid of." I said, realizing what an ass I was after the words we're out in the air. "Rylie I didn't mean that, I let my emotions get the best of me, and I'm sorry."

"YOU'RE ALWAYS SORRY. I'M SO SICK OF PEOPLE FEELING SORRY FOR ME. IT'S JUST GREAT TO KNOW THAT I'M JUST SOME FAN, NIALL. NICE KNOWING YOU." She yelled, opening the door even though we were going at 35mpr. She hopped out of the car.

"RYLIE!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" I yelled, slamming on the breaks.

She had fallen onto the road and in a second, she got up and unzipped my hoodie and threw it onto the ground. I ran towards her, but she ran faster. She knew her away around the neighborhood, and I didn't.

"Rylie?!" I called looking around. "Rylie please!! Where are you?" By now we were at a little grassy spot with some bushes and a bench. "I'm and idiot and I'm sorry."

I heard sniffles coming behind one of the bushes. Looking at it, I quietly got up and walked towards it. "Rylie?" I said bending down towards her.

"Yes?" She said sniffeling.

"I know you don't think so, but I'm sorry. Very sorry." I said looking into her blue eyes that were surrounded by redish.

"I know" she said. "Damn it Niall, I loved you as more than some celebrity. And you just play me like that. Is your entire image fake? Are you really a player?" She asked, bringing tears to my eyes.

"No, I'm not. But when I'm with you  everything feels so different. Like you make me feel safe, like I'm home. It's a good thing." I said turning towards her. She had goose bumps from there cold, since she wasn't wearing her sweater.

"Here, take this, I said slipping off my jean jacket and handing it to her. I helped her put it around her shoulders as she trembled from the cold. Slowly, I put my arm around her. "If that's o-" she cut me off with a small press of my lips to hers.

It was a quick kiss, but it was enough to shut me up. "It's fine." She said smiling at me.

There was no doubt in my mind that I had feelings for Rylie O'Connor
