No.
Just, no.
I'm sick of it! I hate lying through my teeth about this!
I want to say no, but I can't.
This is something I've never told anyone, not even my two best friends or my family.
I don't want a stranger's pity, I'm only writing this because I want to tell somebody.
I'm agnostic.
That means, I don't believe in religion, but I'm not going to say that there is no god(s) because we don't know. It means that I don't know and will probably never know.
Don't say I'm a confused teenager. Because I'm not. I've been agnostic for half my life, but have only recently discovered the name for it.
When I was around seven in the FIRST GRADE my parents started sending me to a Catholic grade school and I had my first religion classes because before that, my parents just told me that the Catholic faith was true, and as I little kid, you believe everything your parents tell you. Santa, the Easter Bunny, Jesus. None are real. Well, I had learned that there were other religions that didn't believe in Jesus and I asked my mom why she knew Jesus was real and she told me because God said so.
I told her that she didn't know that because other people believed that Jesus wasn't real because their God had told them so.
She didn't reply and wouldn't let me continue the conversation with her.
Again, FIRST GRADE! How do I remember this? I have a brother in the grade behind me and he was in kindergarten and I know that because this conversation was in our minivan outside of the school parking lot and my brother didn't go to school yet even though they had just opened kindergarten that year so he went to public.
Since then, I wondered about it and I tried to believe, I really did, but nothing. A sign! Something! Nothing.
The reason they say "Thou shall not test the Lord your God" is becasue he's not real and whoever came up with it knew that, but wanted to keep the masses believing.
Don't say you'll pray for me to believe, it won't work.
The reason I'm saying "no" at the beginning is because I still go to a Catholic school and I'm making my Confirmation next week.
Joy (she said sarcastically).
Personally, I don't think you should be able to baptize a baby beacause I think he or she should come upon their own religious beliefs without them being forced upon them at a young gullible age.
Then there's the anti-gay rights people.
Ugh!
We have freedom of religion here in America
Don't force your beliefs on others because some book that was written thousands of years ago who didn't know s***!
You don't want gay marriage, don't get one! Simple as that!
Becca, Juli, if you're reading this I feel good now that you know I'm agnostic.
