"So then she gets this fucking pouty look on her face and I ask her why,‭ ‬and then she calmly gets up and rushes towards the door.‭ ‬I swear to God I heard the fucking waterworks start as soon as she turned away from everyone in the room.‭ ‬It was the start of the bitch sounding like she was giving the call of a white whale.‭" ‬James recounted his tale with a sort of evil glee.‭ ‬Martha,‭ ‬his life mate as they called each other started laughing.‭ ‬Life mates,‭ ‬not soul mates,‭ ‬perhaps because the pair of them had not a soul that could be found between them.‭ "‬That was all‭? ‬You just called her on being a little brat and she started crying and running away‭?" ‬She asked.‭ "‬Well the fact that I couldn't help but crack a smile at how fucking childish she looked when I asked her might have had something to do with it.‭" ‬Again Martha burst into laughter and she reached across their black silk sheets to grab the bubbler sitting on the nightstand,‭ ‬that still had half a bowl pack of the best weed they had gotten their hands on in a while.‭

The Dodge Viper pulled up to the curb before the huge front gate that separated James and Martha's half mile long drive way from the rest of the world.‭ ‬Gina sat inside,‭ ‬her long stringy blonde hair hanging loosely in her face,‭ ‬but not enough to hide the glazed look of insanity in her bright blue eyes.‭ ‬She leaned over and reached into her glove box,‭ ‬pulling out two items one was a bottle of Norco tens that's contents rattled as she threw them into her passenger seat.‭ ‬The other a Smith and Wesson‭ ‬1911‭ ‬E-Series semiautomatic hand gun,‭ ‬fully loaded.‭ ‬Gina opened the bottle of Norco and dumped eight pills into her hand before popping them into her mouth,‭ ‬dry swallowing.‭ ‬She checked the safety on her Smith and Wesson,‭ ‬making sure she turned it off.‭ ‬She put the driver's seat back a little and set herself to wait the fifteen to twenty minutes that it would take the Norco to kick in.‭ ‬Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a pack of cigarettes and took one out,‭ ‬lighting it,‭ ‬she leaned back in her seat and let the memories fuel the hatred she would need for what she was about to do.

It had not always been this way for Gina.‭ ‬At one time she had a promising future,‭ ‬a career,‭ ‬a fiancé who planned that future with her.‭ ‬Then on one fateful and bloody night two years before,‭ ‬she lost it all.‭ ‬But she would save that memory for when she was actually in the process of the act she was about to commit.‭ ‬She dug a little deeper into her past.‭ ‬It really did not matter at this point in her mental state,‭ ‬even the happiest moments in her life became the poison that coursed through her veins as she was reminded of all she had,‭ ‬all she had lost.‭ ‬This one,‭ ‬she thought to herself.

The tepid breeze of what would become a rainy morning in early summer.‭ ‬She and Cam were at the park not far from where they had lived.‭ "‬Why is that so funny‭?" ‬She had asked him.‭ "‬I don't know,‭ ‬I guess I just never thought about there being anyone out there who didn't know that goat cheese is an actual thing.‭" ‬Cam replied laughing.‭ "‬Now I want to try it.‭ ‬Where does one find goat cheese‭?" ‬Gina said,‭ ‬laughing at the absurdity of the question.‭ "‬Well I got this neighbor Juan Alverez,‭ ‬he has a goat that he keeps chained up in his yard,‭ ‬because he hates cutting grass.‭ ‬We can maybe swing by and see if he would let us milk it.‭" ‬A look of stunned disbelief crossed Gina's bright eyes.‭ "‬You're not serious‭...‬..‭ ‬are you‭?" ‬She asked.‭ ‬Cam stared into her eyes for the longest time,‭ ‬partially because he wanted to keep her guessing,‭ ‬but mostly just because he loved getting lost in those eyes.‭ ‬He finally smiled‭ "‬No,‭ ‬I'm not,‭ ‬but Juan Alverez is a real person.‭ ‬He works at Los Natchos Mexican restaurant and they have a really awesome goat cheese dip,‭ ‬that they serve.‭ ‬You want to go‭?" ‬He asked.‭ ‬She returned his smile.‭ "‬Does he make the cheese from his goat he keeps chained up‭?" ‬This took Cam by surprise,‭ ‬for a split second until she started laughing and he realized that she was just messing with him.‭ ‬She always thought he was so cute when he had that look on his face.‭ ‬Cam went along with it.‭ "‬You know,‭ ‬I never had the heart to ask where it came from.‭" ‬They both laughed and he took her into his arms and kissed her and as the two made their way to the car,‭ ‬the first of the mornings tiny sprinkling rain drops fell from above.‭
