I stood at the Tardis door looking out at the beauty before me.  There were stars shining all around us, the Crab Nebula before me, with its blues and purples and reds. As I stared at it, I couldn’t help but think of how I met the strange man known as the Doctor. It was the night my parents had gone on vacation, leaving me and my twin brother Dalton alone for the week, not that we minded much. The Doctor had showed up an hour later, blabbering on about strange readings in the area. Bored with watching television, I decided I could probably help him and although he objected, after pointing out an obvious clue, he allowed me to tag along. It was a hell of an adventure that ended with him inviting my brother and me to travel with him. I still couldn’t believe it but I didn’t mind going along with it until the ride ended.

As I sat there thinking about various adventures, I saw someone stand opposite of me in my peripherals. “So, where to next?” I asked without looking at the person I knew was the Doctor.

                “Anywhere you want.”

“I was thinking a planet this time around.”

“Well, good thing I’ve set her on random. If anything, the Tardis will land us somewhere interesting as usual.”

“I guess. I wonder Doctor, are there any planets that women have control over? Most of the places we’ve been have been a bit, I don’t know, under men’s control. I’d just like to meet some strong women for once, whether good or bad,” I replied. The Doctor grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the console. He grinned madly as he danced around it, pressing buttons and pulling me along with him.

“You know, Ariha, some of my greatest companions were women. But there is one planet that you’d like. It’s a beautiful place with three moons that shine brightly in the night sky. There are golden statues of those who first inhabited the planet, and the weather is quite marvelous, staying at a constant eighty degrees throughout the two hundred and fifty day year. It’s in the Sepelous quadrant, part of the Matenia constellations. Women are revered, considered goddesses and such. They hold the highest positions actually. Think of Amazonian women but with the ability to do so much more, such as magic and advanced technology."

“Okay, what’s the name of this place?”

“Luneria. You see, in many cultures, the moon is related to women, even on Earth, it is called La Luna. The inhabitants happen to be quite friendly to visitors but I think you should see for yourself,” He continued before the whooshing noise started, telling us that we’d landed. I ran to the door before remembering that my brother was asleep in his room.

“What about Dalton? I shouldn’t leave without telling him… but I do want to see what’s out there. Ugh, what should I do?” I rubbed the back of my neck before I ran out of the console room to my brother’s room. I barged in, not really caring much that he only slept in his underwear. I jumped on him, waking him.

                “What the hell, Ari!”

“Sorry, just wanted to tell you that I was going to explore the planet Luneria with the Doctor. Did you want to come?”

“I’m tired. Do you have any idea what time it is?”

“We’re in a time machine Dalton, time is irrelevant. Besides, I would love to have you around, you know, on a planet full of women and all.”
