He tries to sink further
The thundering roar of his thoughts
Are the ones that jolt his nerves
Drowns himself in the turbulence of it all
It consumes him
It exhausts him
Pulls him more and more into a state
Bordering on chaos and emptiness
And yet, sleep is the last thing on his mind,
A little afraid that if his thoughts
Are loud enough
She might be able to hear them
