                                                                                                *****Middle School******
     Jace POV
I hated school, I hated my parents, I hated everything. What was the point of having to repeat the same boring thing everyday. If it was up to me I would rather just drop out, I don't even care anymore.
"Class, today I would like to introduce our new student Ryan." There was a kid sitting just behind me. "She is joining us all the way from New york City! Is there anything interesting about yourself that you would like to share with the class?"
I turned around to see him, but ended up meeting eyes that belonged to a girl. She looked me directly in the eyes. She opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something but quickly shut it. She just sighed and shook her head, causing her bangs to fall over eyes.
I must have been over staring at her because I could see Yuki waving at me to turn around over her shoulder. Turning round quickly, my mind began to wonder about her. Who is she really? What is she like? Would she like me? Can we be friends? No, we will be friends.  smiled a bit and started doing the math work that was given earlier. For once, I might start liking school.

Yuki's POV
It was weird not seeing the back of Jace's head for once. Maybe we had someone transfer into this period? Who ever it is, they are really pretty, and they have really long hair too. After the teacher announced who the person was, it was almost funny. The girl had a guys name. Ryan, huh?
The teacher went to go sit back down after she refused to say anything about herself. I noticed that Jace had kept staring at her rather than the work sheet. He was probably freaking her out at this point. I tried waving my arms behind her without being caught by the teacher. He looked at me for a second and then turned back around. I shook my head at him, he never acts like that. This girl must be pretty interesting. I wonder if we will be friends. No, we will be friends!

Ryan's POV
After class ended I darted out of the room. Why was that guy staring at me? He was so weird. I ran into the hallway and paced myself to go outside and have my lunch, alone.
"Hey there!" Or not. "My name is Mika! You're Ryan right? Must have been weird being stared down by that guy in class; made things super awkward. Trust fund kid never really talks to anyone, so that was super unusual for him. You must be special." She stopped talking and I looked at her. She kept looking towards the road that lead down into neighborhoods and smiled.
"You are really sociable aren't you." She nodded at me and flashed a wider smile. "That's fine, it would be nice to know at least one person at the school." She looked at me and nodded in agreeance. "Right."
                                                                                                   *****The Present*****
Mika's POV
Holy shit. What the hell just happened. Marrisa is here, and Ryan just ran away. "Phoebe?" She looked at me with the same wide eyes I was giving her. I reappointed my attention to Marrisa and my face began twisting into a scowl.
"You've got a lot of nerve being here you twat faced bitch!" She snapped her head in my direction and grimaced.
" I've got nerve? Look at you, wearing a bathing suit with your body? Feeling risky much." I raised an eyebrow at her. She really thinks making fun of my body is going to hurt me. That's freaking hilarious.
"You know, if I didn't care more about what happened to Ryan, you would be toppling off the side of the building, and splattered on the concrete!" I pushed past her and went back down to our hotel room. Screw her if she thinks she's got something over me or Ryan.
When the elevator opened I stomped into our room and changed into something a little more comfortable. Jeans and a t-shirt to be exact. I pulled my phone off its charger and rapidly typed in words to Ryan. I tried calling her, texting her, and even google chatting her, but nothing; she would not answer me. I paced the room anxiously and wondered where she could have gone. It worried me even more that her bag was not here, all of her stuff was gone. I walked out of our room to go sit on the couch, but then I heard the elevator ding; and there they were.
