Prologue: For the Fallen Ones

"He was nice, you know?"

Hoseok lend back in the armchair and took a sip of his steaming hot tea.
He glanced over to the window.

It has begun to snow. Silent white was raining down to earth so it can settle and melt when time has come. 

Taehyung has been like those snowflakes.
A special snowflake.
Hoseok smiled. 

"I've never had a friend like him before"

Yoongi tugged the blanket a little closer around his body and took a mouthful of his chilly coffee.
He hated the cold bitter taste of that black fluid on his tongue but he felt too cozy to stand up and get himself a new one. 

And he didn't want to leave Hoseok alone now. 

The blond male put his cup of tea on the little table again and looked at Yoongi.
"And I guess I never will have a friend like him again" 

Feelings settled inside Yoongi's stomach like snowflakes on the ground. 

Uncomfortability, sadness, empathy, sympathy, an unknown warmth, the wish to be closer to Hoseok, to gift him comfortability.
He hoped those feelings would melt down. It was a terrible mixture. 

"I ... am sorry" the redhead muttered into his cup and looked at the man in front of him. 

"No one has to be"
Hoseok sighed heavily. "No one could ever be. There is no fault. So there is no reason to be sorry"

Yoongi wished to be close to him, to show him the necessary emotional affection Hoseok has locked away for a long time.
The urge of feeling his skin on his hands, the desire to smell him, to taste him, to love him was so overbearing the redhead almost whimpered.

"I wish I could make you happy" he whispered and slightly hoped Hoseok did not hear what he just said. 

The blond nodded. He looked straight into his eyes and a rare smile decorated his lips.
Everything seemed a little brighter. 

Yoongi's heart jumped and skipped a beat.
"Thank you ... I wish that, too"
