Eryn's point of view;

When you really think about it, moving to a totally different state is actually quite nerve wrecking, you have to worry about fitting in and making new friends, and that's always tough.

I crawled out from under the warm blankets and walked over to my wardrobe picking my outfit for today which was cpahs uniform.

I twisted the knob letting the hot water coming rushing out, Jumping out the shower minutes later i slipped into my uniform and headed downstairs.

To be honest I seemed calm for the most part, but what will happen when I get there?

"Let's go into the car" My mum-Laura- rushed around frantically picking up her brown hand bag while trying to put her shoes on and text at the same time, woman are a real piece of work.

"I can walk mum" I laughed shoving everything into my backpack and heading for the door.

"No No out to the car" She hissed

I pulled the bulky front door open revealing the fresh air and bright sun

My feet skipped down the pavement and I stopped by the car parked in the driveway

"Mum" I called just as the car flashed and unlocked

The door popped open under my hand and I slid inside, sitting on the leather seats and smelling fresh pineapple.

I slid my phone out my pocket and read the screen

'Hey it's Joel, yeah hope everything goes well with Sydney miss you loads'

Joel was like my brother, we did everything and anything, kind of like the closest bond. well that was until I got dragged away from Adelaide.

"Eryn" mum barked as she slid into the drivers side

"Huh" I cocked my head towards her

"Seatbelt" she smirked

I clicked the strap into the buckle, pulling my phone back into view to reply to the text

'Hope fully all goes well hey? About to start school gotta go.'

Like he was waiting I got an instant reply.

'bye bye'

"Bye baby" Mum jerked fowards in her seat as she pulled up infront of the school

"I'm not a baby Laura" I smirked while stepping outside the car

I hadn't even realised we've pulled up at the school

"Woah this place is huge" i whimpered.

There was a big sign saying office. so I slowly started walking towards it. Then I casually look around studying other students, it seemed like that had there little groups like nerds cheerleaders, jocks, like that but just groups of friends. There was only a few people here though. I guess I'm early

I open up the door to feel a light breeze push against me. I walked up to the desk where a tall ish lady with red hair and thick rimmed glasses sat staring at a computer

"Hi" I huffed

She ignored me still staring at the computer "Hi I'm new" I piped up

"Oh hello dear, you must be Eryn?" She perked up

"Yes that's me"

She passed me a heap of books a locker combo which I slipped into my pocket, a map of the school and a timetable for my classes.

"Thanks" I said as I walked out the door I came in

I pulled my map to the top of the pile I was carrying and searched on it.

I walked a few meters and turned to the right to stand infront of a whole row of lockers

66 67 68. Ah. This is mine

I pull the tiny piece of paper out of my pocket, I had a couple of goes to open it and it wasn't exactly working so I yanked at furiously

"Hey um you want some help?" I could feel this person smirking from behind me

" yes please" i turned around

There stood a short tan guy, brown hair brown eyes and the cutest little freckle just below his lip

I stood for a few moments before speaking up

"I like your eyes" I laughed

"Thankyou, yours too" He giggled

"Thankyou" I grinned

"So do you want me to have a go?" He smirked pointing towards the lock.

"Yes please" I stepped to the side and handed him the small piece of paper

"I'm Jai, by the way" He mocked

"Cool name, I'm Eryn" I smiled as he turned around

"You too" He laughed opening the locker next to mine

"Have you always lived in Sydney?"

"Yeah, it has the best beaches" he hiccuped a little loudly

"Cool, I'll have to go sometime"

"would you like me to show you around the school?" He says as he grabs my timetable out my hands.

"That would be great thanks" I said shoving my stuff in my locker.

"Looks like your stuck with me then" Jai laughed handly me back the map

"Your a tad cocky" I smirked

"Thankyou, I pride myself on it"
