Young & Powerful – A Message to the Youth

I am God’s child

I’m here to make a difference

I’m amazing, intelligent, and young

Here to put Satan on the run.

To help others and to better myself, that’s what I’m here for

To make peace and to generate love, the world could use more.

To defeat Satan and pull down strong holds.

To break the chains and make free, that’s what I was told.

Yes, I have problems that I need to resolve

But with all the stupidity in the world, why do I need to get involved?

There’s lust, sex, money, drugs, and gangs

Things to make us all forget of the Christ who was nailed on the cross to hang.

I’m smarter than that, yes I know.

I have to let my light shine; I have to keep my faithful glow.

I won’t get caught up in the media hype

Because I have to remember that Satan is the entertaining type.

In Heaven he was a musician, one of the prettiest there was

Just because he’s Satan, he hasn’t stopped what he does.

I know he’s created modern media into something evil to destroy me

That’s why I don’t get caught in the insecurity of seeing models on TV.

Satan is the head of the music of the youth today.

Trying to convert my mind into the deceitful and useless ways.

You see he wants me to imitate the lyrics of the artist.

But when I turn on my iPod and ignore the filth they speak on, it shows who’s the smartest.

You see Satan works through my flesh to destroy my spirit.

That’s why drugs, fornication, and drinking, I won’t go near it.

Although, God works through my spirit to convict my flesh

It’s a better joy to know that the old evil person in me has finally been laid to rest.

You see Satan says kill. Jesus says rebirth.

Satan says flesh prevails. Jesus says spiritual worth.

Satan says die. Jesus says live.

Satan says take. Jesus says give.

Satan says dark. Jesus says light.

Satan says wrong. Jesus says right.

Satan says slaves. Jesus says children.

Satan gives you none. Jesus gave you a million.

Satan holds you in bondage. Jesus sets you free.

Satan blinds your eyes. But with Jesus you can see.

This is my youth. I’m going to live it right.

I’ll keep Satan under my feet and be righteous in God’s sight.

And when temptation or doubt begins to creep through, I’ll know exactly what I have to do.

I’ll rebuke Satan with the Blood mightier than me and you.

I’ll continue to work for you Lord along the rest of my way.

Then I’ll be in Heaven and finally on that day…

I’ll stand before you face to face as you judge me on my case.

You’ll smile at me afterwards and say “My good and faithful servant, how I love you so, yes you may enter into My Kingdom today. These angels will show you to your mansion, follow them out this way…”

When I settle into my big estate, I’ll look out the window and see beautiful bright skies, golden streets and kids running to play.

I’ll lay back and relax and say “now I’m here to stay”

He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. – Isaiah 53:8
