''There will always be something to ruin our lives, it all depends on what or which finds us first. We are always ripe and ready to be taken.'' -Charles Bukowski

I was walking down the shore with my toes getting down into the sand and a pair of white converse in one hand. It's hot, it is always hot here in Australia, but I don't really miss the coldness of the United Kingdom, I'm thankful we managed to move here, even when it seems that moving to California or staying in Manchester was the whole better idea/

The Wind from the sea was blowing to my hair when I sat myself on the sand. Soon I was able to feel a familiar figure sitting near and putting the hand over my shoulders. I smiled laying my head on the shoulders of the boy.

''I messed up, didn't I?''

He did not answer. Jack was the only reason I'm not jumping down the bridge or killing myself in some other way.

I ruined my sister's wedding. At least I thought I did. Meredith was about to marry this handsome lad named Eric. I can say that everything looked really epic, I wish my wedding will be that fancy one day. Once they were about to start the ceremony I started feeling weird and the last memory of mine is me feeling like a dead bug, well I don't really know the feeling of bug dying, but that's close I guess. Mum told me I collapsed on the ground and everything was canceled. They brought me home, but as soon as I was up I left the house.

Jack knew about this, he was there too. I called him telling that I will be here and I want to meet him, I knew he'd come if I needed to.

''Is she married now?'' I asked again.

''Hope, they canceled the ceremony.'' He said.

''Shit... Mere's going to kill me'' I groaned.

We both were looking at the sea. It was the middle of the day, or somewhere around, so quite a few of the people were walking around. This beach is too near the city, not a lot of tourists come here, at least their hotel is near and the day is perfect.

''You looked beautiful.'' Jack complimented, but I shook my head. '' You did. Your groom will be happy to marry you one day, Hope.''

''Can you at least try to stop involving wedding here?'' I sighted.

He started laughing so I nudged him while laughing together. The boy stood up giving me his hand and helping me to stand up too.

''C'mon, I have to get you home before they start worrying.'' He said with his sugar-sweet voice.

''No worries, I will get home by myself. See you later,'' I farewelled while kissing him on the cheek and starting running to the side of my home bare-feeted. When I stopped to get my converse on Jack was already gone, but my phone vibrated in the pocket with his message saying: ''Goodbye, beautiful''.
