~Chapter 1~

ANNA'S POV

"Honey. Time to wake up. It's your first day at your new school." My mom said peeping her head through my room. "And pick up your room. It's a mess."

"Okay. Mom?"

"Yes?"

"Do I have to go to school today? It's not that important."

"Yes you have to. It's your big day. Your now a sophomore !" she gave me a big smile and closed the door behind her. I was not excited for this. It's the same every year. Same people. Same teachers and same drama. Even though this is a new school for me, I already know it's no different then any other school. My mom tell me that we are all starting "fresh".

I get up out of bed and walk towards my closet. I stand there staring at my clothes. I don't even know what to wear. Finally I find an outfit. My red and black flannel, black undershirt and black jeans. I walk over to the bathroom and plug in my straightener. I do my normal routine with my hair and makeup. I walked back into my room and found my black hightops and my favorite beanie. I placed my beanie on my curled head and slipped my boots over my purple socks. I took one last glance at my outfit and smiled in satisfaction. While I made my way down the stairs, I see my older brother walking up.

"Nice outfit dork" my bother Nathan said as he pushed me into the wall. I ignore him and walk to the kitchen.

"Are you ready for your first day of school?" My mom said while she flipped over a pancake on the stove.

"Why would I be? It's school."

"Why do you not like school?"

"Because she has no friends" Nathan yells from upstairs.

"Nathan! Stay out of it." My mom said looking annoyed. I would be too if I gave birth to the devil. I love my brother but he can be an ass most of the time.

"He's right mom. I have no friends and I will never have them."

"You will. You just have to make them today."

I watched my mother flip over more pancakes and transfer them to a red plate. When there was about enough, to feed my whole family. She put them on the dinning table made to sit four.

" BREAKFAST IS READY!" When my mom finished her sentence, loud footsteps from above moved closer to me fast. I grabbed a plate and served myself.

"Thanks mom." she just smiled and made a plate for my brother. When I was done, I placed my plate in the sink and ran back up stairs to grab my keys and phone. I knew I had about 10 more minutes to get to school so I said my good-byes.

"Have a good day at school Anna. Love you." my mom gave me a hug.

"Love you too" I said as I closed the door and made my way to my car.
