Blaire's POV:

The smell of barbecue smoke, the sound of laughter, and the memories of him filling my head from the last few weeks. It's all I could ask for.

"Hey Blaire." Simon, my guy friend who I had fallen for, came up and hugged me.

"Hey." I said into his chest. "These past few weeks have been the best. And plus in a few days I'll be turning 20!!!" I exclaimed as we walked into my family cottage. He chuckled.

"I can't believe this is your place." He said still in shock.

"My family's place." I corrected him.

"And who comes here other than you?" He asks sitting on the couch.

"The mice." I smiled smugly at him.

"You're lame." He teased.

"Not as lame as you pretty boy." I laughed grabbing both of us a beer.

"Hey you can't drink. You're not legal." He teased again.

"I'm legal in Canada. So I'm legal here." I said firing back at him. I handed him the beer and sat down next to him.

"Just don't get caught. I heard pretty girls don't do well in jail." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes. We sat in silence for a minute before my thoughts turned serious.

"Hey Simon?" I said.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"I'm leaving soon. Like tomorrow." I said with tears in my eyes.

"What? You can't leave?" He said sadly.

"I don't want to, but I need to." I said. This was the part where I tell him how I feel and he leaves and I never see him again. "I lo-" my words got cut off by Simon pressing his lips against mine. Butterflies filled my stomach and for a split-second I thought of staying, living here so I could see Simon more but he had to go back home eventually too. He pulled away and rested his forehead on mine.

"I love you Blaire." He whispered.

"I love you too." I said and kissed him again.

I left the next day. I never saw Simon Minter again or so I thought.......
