Winford mortuary
Dr Pemberton examined the skeleton of the young girl. From what she could tell it was of a 8 to 14 year old female. Thai was the worst part of the job: having to identify bodies and potentially ruining hopeful parents lives. She had nearly a 100 missing girls who fit the bill: this was going to be a long night. It could be any of the thousands who go missing around the world every year. The body was around two years old. "Ok boss, we are looking for a female born around 1998-2004. There are no signs of assault. There is bone damage so I think she may have had treatment for it, but no other signs of death, and I have found DNA that could matched with parents,"Dr Pemberton updated her boss. The girl was wearing white material, a skirt a dress? Why did she do this it was so depressing.Winford police station
Louise and Julien waited for Maya White's detective patiently. He came in and looked at the two. " Argh press, I'm not telling you anything about Matthew Artright!" He shouted angrily. "Actually we came to talk to you about Maya White," Louise assured the detective. His face softened and he sat down.
Detective: she went missing years ago, why now?
Louise: we may have a new piece of evidence.
Detective: it was a shame a young girl who was loved by her parents.
Julien: do we know who took her?
Detective: no but we do have cctv footage of a new all male dressed in black loiter at the scene. He had a large blacked out Range Rover and left as soon as Maya went missing. We have footage of him carrying her to a car she was drugged. However, we never managed to track down he plate. It was all dead ends.
Louise: do you think she is alive today?
Julien: he wouldn't leave dead ends if he was going to kill her.
Detective: yes, he tried hard to cover up and had different plates and addresses. It must have taken years and she was young he could have started a life with her, so I think Maya is alive.
Louise: it's a shame.
Detective: who are you anyway and what is the evidence?
Louise: I am Louise Harp, a doctor at Winford Hospital and this is my Uncle Julien Babtist.....
Detective: THE FAMOUS DETECTIVE JULIEN BABTISTE! OMG I LOVE YOUR WORK, AND YOUR CASES!!!!!
Louise: erm, well we have evidence to suggest that Maya White and a girl called Kate Ray were swapped as babies. This may be why she was kidnapped.Louise explained the story.
Detective: well we need to get a DNA sample of the parents, and I can get that but I will need your help. We are due a re-investigation in her case we can visit her tomorrow I will email her parents now.
Julien:what about Matthew Artright?
Detective: he will turn up, when he wakes up high and drunk! The White home
The House was almost a shrine to their lost daughter Maya: the walls were covered in articles and photos and her toys still sat in the corner in honour. Apart from that the house was spotless. Mrs white made tea and cake calmly: she welcomed us in happily - this made Louise feel sick as hell his must have happened a lot. How could such a nice couple have their daughter snatched away from them? Louise and the detective (Stephen) sat down on the sofa. Louise needed to get DNA of the parents so they could compare it to Kate. "What happened at the time of her abduction?" Stephen asked politely, sipping his tea. "We were at the theme park, it was Maya's sister Alison's birthday. We were queuing for food when a crowd of people ran past. I grabbed hold of Maya. We were ready to be served and we all chose what we wanted. I looked back and she was gone....." Mrs white sobbed, wiping her eyes tenderly. Mr white put his arm around her and held her close. Louise wanted to cry but she had the plan. "Sorry, could I go to the the toilet," Louise asked politely. Mr white pointed upstairs before continuing to comfort his wife. Louise sank into herself; she sat shaking on the seat. 'Why her!' Louise cried "why?'. Wiping her eyes, Louise tiptoed out the bathroom. She looked in the first room. That was Allison's. She tried to the next room; that was a guest room. The room was Maya's; she closed the door out of respect. The final room was her parents. She went in carefully. Louise needed something that could have DNA on it: a hair or nail would be brilliant. There was a red and white bag on the drawers. The first poker had makeup. The second had shower gel. The third was tablets. However, the final pocket had a hairbrush and boggles. She took a clump of hair out of the brush and replaced d it in the bag. Louise quietly snook out and went downstairs. She had got the evidence!Winford mortuary
"Dr Pemberton, I need a favour," Louise begged her friend "will you DNA match Mrs White and Kate Ray, please!" Dr Pemberton took the sample. She was good friends with Louise. "Ok I will text you the results,". Skipping joyfully out of the room, the doctor went to call her uncle and tell him the good news.Louise house
Celia ate her pasta bake eagerly; she had been out all day shopping with her English friends and niece. She was enjoying England and her husband had promised to take her to see a film at the cinema. Celia still worried about her husband and how he had only just had surgery for his brain tumour. 'We could all go and get pizza at that small restaurant soon' Celia thought. She was interrupted by Louise phone going off. Beep beep! Louise apologised and went to turn it off. She smiled and showed Julien the screen.
