The urban dictionary says that to be 'cheesy' means to try too hard, to be unsubtle, and to be inauthentic.
Alas, the definition of my life.
Up until about a year ago, I thought it was a good thing to be "cheesy". I thought it meant that I'm unique and original and different, blah blah. But recently, I've been doing a lot of thinking and rethinking, and as part of my process of finding out what the one word that describes me perfectly means, I've done minimal research and found that "cheesy" can mean a few different things.
1.resembling or suggesting cheese especially in consistency or odor.
2.corny, lame.
Considering the fact that that last definition is where my research ended, so it is for my list of definitions.
😬.
So, according to my resources, I either greatly resemble actual cheese...or I'm corny.
🤔.
Since, even if we did find out that I "suggest" cheese there would be nothing we could do about it anyway, let's move on.
Corny
adjective
Trying to be cool, but ultimately very uncool indeed, and often even extremely embarrassing.
Wow...
Excuse me while I laugh.
This is exactly me! Uncool, but a least a little cool at the same time (according to my standards, anyway). "Often extremely embarrassing"! How about
daily embarrassing!? And you know what makes it even more, dare I say, cheesy?
The simple fact that I love it.
