Josh's POV

Tonight was the night, the night I was taking Jennifer on a proper date. I mean, we had been on a lot of dates but I wanted this one to be extra special. I made us dinner reservations, then we planned to stroll home via the park instead of getting a taxi. I wanted it to be really romantic because I love Jennifer and she deserves the best.

I hopped in the shower to wash my hair and my body. Once I was out I towel dried my hair, Jennifer liked it when it was a bit messy. I then dried my body afterwards. I combed through my hair with my fingers and pulled on some black jeans. I looked through my shirts and picked out a white one, then found a denim jacket. I decided to have a quick beer because I was ready early and I figured I would give Jennifer a bit more time, since girls like to take their time to get ready… right? Although, Jennifer was perfect without being all dressed up.

Jennifer's POV

I was excited for this date with Josh. All are dates are special, but this one would be extra special… I could just tell. Josh planned it all himself, it was perfect. A romantic dinner and a stroll in the park, so lovely and romantic.

I treated myself to a bath, instead of a shower. I washed my hair and my body, then shaved my legs and underarms. When I got out of the bath, I wrapped myself up with a towel robe and towel dried my hair. I made sure my body was dry before putting on my dressing gown and sitting down at my dressing table. I brushed my hair and dried it with my hairdryer and when it was completely dry, I decided to curl it. Once my was hair was done I put on some nice lingerie and started to look through the dresses in my closet.

I decided to pick a strapless, black dress, that was just above knee length. I slid it on, up over my lingerie and headed back over to my dressing table. I applied my make up, but not too much because I know Josh doesn’t like it when I wear too much. I find the perfect sandals, because I’m taller than Josh with heels on. He occasionally allows me to wear heels, but I didn’t mind wearing flats tonight. I check how I look in the mirror and wait for Josh to arrive.

Josh's POV

After finishing my beer I head out the door and start walking to Jennifer’s. I reach her door and hold the rose I got her behind my back. She opens the door, she looks so beautiful. “Hello gorgeous,” I say pulling the flower out from behind my back and kissing her. “For you,” I give her the rose and she smiles. “Thank you Josh, it’s lovely,” she places it in her house before joining me outside. Our fingers link as we make our way down the path to the restaurant.

Once we arrive, I guide Jennifer to the table I requested. We smile, laugh, drink and talk while we have our meal. It was delicious, especially dessert. I reach for her hand and hold onto it tightly over the table, “You look so beautiful tonight,” I told her, bringing her hand up to my lips and kissing it. She blushed and I smiled, she’d been blushing all night since I couldn’t stop complimenting her. “Oh, stop it you!” She said, giggling and tightening her grip on my hand.

We head out of the restaurant, with Jennifer clinging onto my arm. She was so perfect and I loved her so much. we reached the park and strolled around it, admiring the flowers and other various plants. I turned to Jennifer when I heard her voice, “Can we sit here for awhile?” She asked me. “Of course, babe,” I smiled and we headed to a near by bench. I sat down and Jennifer sat on my lap, I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her lips down to her neck. She put an arm around me and kissed my lips, soft but deep.

I heard someone call my name, I thought it was a fan but then i started to recognize it. “Well, look who it is.. Mr Josh Hutcherson!” The voice called out, getting closer. I looked at Jennifer and she looked at me, I shrugged and gently sat Jennifer on the bench. I stood up and looked around and that’s when I saw her, Lanchen.

I hadn’t seen her in about 5 months, she broke up with me and I was heartbroken but now I had Jennifer and I love her more than I loved Lanchen. Jennifer appeared at my side and caught sight of Lanchen wandering towards us, “Ugh, her,” I heard her mumble. “Don’t worry Jen, I love you,” I say, reassuringly then I turn to Lanchen, who was face to face with us now. “Well, I haven’t seen you in awhile. What do you want?” I ask her, trying to get straight to the point. She tries to get closer but I step back, putting a protective arm around Jennifer.

"Josh… Josh… Josh. Oh my Josh,” She said, smirking. “I am not yours, Lanchen,” I said sternly, glaring at her. “You know you still love me Josh,” she said before biting her lip, “You never stopped loving me.” I shook my head, “That’s a load of bullshit Lanchen. What are you doing here?” I really just wanted to get straight to the point and then continue my date with Jennifer, I can’t believe Lanchen had ruined it. “I’m here to get you back of course. I’m better than that… slut,” She glanced at Jennifer and scanned her body with her eyes.

"What did you just call her?" I said angrily. "Oh, don’t protect her Josh. You’re just using her anyway." I stepped towards Lanchen and looked at her with angry eyes, "Leave now. I don’t love you. Never did." Somehow, that seemed to surprise her, "I-I thought it was obvious that you loved me," she said, stepping back from me. I returned to Jennifer’s side and held her close, "If I loved you, why would I be dating the most perfect girl on the planet?" I said, raising my eyebrow at Lanchen. "You’re such a dickhead!" She screamed at me, trying to make a scene. "Just go home, Lanchen. You’re not wanted here." She stuck her finger up at me and started to storm down the path she came from. "Oh and Lanchen?" I said, she turned around, and crossed her arms over her chest, "What?!" I laughed, "Don’t come back, ever again." She gave me the finger once again before stomping off out of the park.

I pulled Jennifer closer, I kissed her then hugged her tightly. “I.. I though you were going to leave me at first,” she admitted, she looked at me as if she was prepared for me to be angry at her. “No! No! Of course not. I love you, not her. I broke up with her ages ago, she’s in my past. You’re my future,” I smiled and she smiled back. “I love you so much,” she said, a happy tear falling down her cheek. I wiped it with my thumb, “I love you too, beautiful. Let’s go back to my place.” She nodded and we linked our fingers together and wandered off out of the park.
