"Jamie! Wake up! It's our birthday!" James yelled as he jumped out of his bed, ran over to his younger twin's bed and hopped onto her bed, still in his pyjamas.

"James, go away!" The girl moaned as she rolled over in her large bed.

"No! We get our Hogwarts letters today!" he yelled, causing Jamie to sit straight up.

"We do, don't we?" She asked excitedly, jumping out of her bed in her pyjamas. Jamie wore a white, cotton pyjama set with her name sown in a vivid red. These matched James', the only difference being that his had the name 'James'.

"Let's go wake mum and dad!" James grinned mischievously as the pair walked out of the bedroom and down the corridor to their parents bedroom.

Opening their parent's bedroom door, the twins instantly jumped onto the bed and began to jump whilst yelling: "it's our birthday!"

"James, Jamie, stop before you fall off sweethearts!" Euphemia scolded slightly.

"Yeah, before you fall over!" Fleamont smirked as he grabbed the children's feet and dragged them down, causing them to fall off of the bed.

"Hey, no fair dad!" The twins groaned in unison from either end of the bed.

"How about we have pancakes for breakfast?" Euphemia asked as she stepped out of bed, closely followed by her husband.

"Yes! Chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate sauce!" the twins stated together before turning and sprinting out of the room, in the direction of the kitchen.

"How have you both managed to get the food all over yourselves?" Euphemia asked as she stood in front of the twins, arms crossed in front of her.

"She started it!" James instantly pointed towards Jamie.

"No I didn't! You chucked the cream at me first!" Jamie retaliated, facing her brother.

"Nuh-uh!"

"Yuh-uh!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"I don't care who started it!" Euphemia yelled. "Go upstairs and have a bath this instant!"

"Yes mum!" The twins squeaked before running upstairs, pushing each other the entire way.

"Jamie! James! Come look what just arrived!" Fleamont called.

"What daddy?" Jamie asked as she walked into the sitting room, her hair still dripping wet - soaking the top of her dress.

"What is it dad?" James asked as he skidded into the living room, sliding straight into Jamie causing them both to fall in a heap on the floor

"You'll have to get the to find out!" Fleamont smirked, holding up two identical letters and waving them above his head.

"Dad, you know we can easily get those right?" James smirked.

"How? Show me kids," Fleamont smirked, thinking they couldn't reach.

"Aren't you forgetting something daddy?" Jamie asked.

"No, why?"

"Because we can do this!" the twins stated as they twirled their hands. The letters flew from their father's hand into theirs. They both took a look at the enveloped, looked up and switched them before finally ripping them open. Fleamont still stood there flabbergasted, confused as to how he could forget how natural magic was for the pair.

"It's our Hogwarts letter!" the twins screeched, looking at each other. "We're going to Hogwarts!"

"There is another letter from Uncle Albie and Auntie Minnie!" James said as he pulled out the extra piece of paper. "They want us to keep our powers to ourselves so we don't draw attention to ourselves."

"But we do it by accident sometimes or we do it to be quicker!" Jamie whined, waving her hands to dry both of their hairs as an example.

"It's for the best kids, the other children could pick on you for being different or could use you for your power," Fleamont explained as he knelt down to his children's height.

"Can we still use them at home or when we're on our own?" James asked.

"Of course, just don't show your peers," Fleamont said.

"What house do you both want to be in?" Euphemia asked over dinner that evening.

"Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart!" the twins recited instantly.

"Hopefully you will, but don't build your hopes too high. There's a possibility you could be separated between houses.

"What?" the twins gasped together, looking up to their mother.

"She's right, you may be placed in separate houses. Also, you will not be able to share a room as you do now," Fleamont said gently.

"But we've always shared a room!" James exclaimed.

"We've never been away from each other before!" Jamie chimed, grabbing James' hand.

"It's a school rule dears, boys and girls cannot share a dormitory. They also can not enter the other dormitory," Euphemia explained.

"What if we have a nightmare?" Jamie asked, tears in both of the twins' eyes.

"You still have your bond," Fleamont answered, "you can speak to each other through that."

"I'm not hungry anymore!" James exclaimed in anger, standing up along with Jamie. The pair quickly walked out of the room, still holding hands.

"How are they going to cope Flea? They've never spent more than an hour apart!" Euphemia said sadly.

"They have to learn to cope, they won't be together every minute of every day," Fleamont told his wife, grabbing her hands as a support.

"They'll be okay, won't they Flea?" Euphemia asked quietly from the doorway of the twins' room. On Jamie's bed, the twins were curled up together, holding each other close.

"Of course they will be, they'll always have each other."
