Emma deep blue eyes flipped anxiously over the pages. Her heart thumping as the book approached its climax. Emma held her breath begging everything would be ok.

"Em?" Ms. Julie called. The librarian approached the girl who came to the library every weekend from 10-4.

"Yes Jul," Emma gave the 23 year old Librarian's nickname.

"Today the library is closing early so I'm going to need you to leave," She said kindly knowing Emma was going to complain and beg her to keep it open.

"But the book is just getting interesting, Sara has to chose between believing her loyal friend, Stiel, that he is to be sentenced to death because of him breaking the rules, but he said he was actually seeing the love of his life Jess. So Sara either has to tell the leaders that Stiel is planning on breaking out of the Tower and leaving with Jess or help Stiel," Emma said gasping for breath.

Julie laughed as the girl placed her bookmark that held her name, her phone number, and her email in the book.

"Well it sounds like a good book but the library is closing and you haven't checked that book out," Julie said between her laughs.

"I know, my dorky brother stole my library card, Julie we are friends can't you let me bring it home!" Emma begged.

"No the rules apply to my friends too," Julie said strictly.

Emma sighed and spoke, "I guess you're right, and anyway who is going to read this book no one reads books based with Mages, elves, Dwarves, and Humans all fighting for the peace of the world,"

"Emma you read the weirdest books," Julie smiled.

"And I'm proud of it!" Emma said placing the book back.

"Well you return tomorrow and figure out what happens to Stiel and Sara," Julie said laughing as she walked the teen out of the library.

"I wish I never had to return home," Emma said sadly.

"I wish you didn't either," Julie sighed aware of Emma's terrible parents.
