It was morning and the cafeteria was busy as always. The best food was at the beginning. The officer had already spread the word to many others officers and all were careful around Andrea. She walked into the area and it fell silent. She found it suspicious but she figured some people would envy her due to her strength. She reached the food and everyone who was waiting scattered. She found it odd but couldn't do anything about it. While she was eating, people mumbled and whispered information back and forth. Nothing could be clearly heard from where she was sitting. Once it was time, officers began to leave and went back to their daily jobs. So did Andrea.
The officer snuck out on his break to head to the darkest and most dangerous parts of the town. He knew that was the only place he would find dangerous people with valuable information, information about the Immortals. He walked down an alley which had many trash cans and dark hallways leading into buildings. He reached the farthest door and opened it. It creaked. *ding* A little bell rung above the door. This was most likely a shop.
"Hello?" He called as his voice echoed off the concrete walls. It was dark.
"Ah yessss, how may I help you?" A snake like voice asked from the shadows. Suddenly candles lit down the hallway.
"Oooo an officccer! What have I done this time to have an officccer vissssiting?" The voice laughed. The officer began walking down the hallway.
"Well I'm not here to arrest you, Hebi. I was wondering if you had some information we could negotiate about." He said, his face was still shadowed but his broad smile was visible in the darkness.
"Oh, itssss you, Officccer Mori, My dear friend." Hebi said playfully. Officer Mori had reached the light and was in front of a desk.
"Alright I'm assssuming you want information about the Immortalssss." Mori nodded as a reply.
"What is their weakness?" Officer Mori asked.
"What will I get in exchange?" Hebi smirked under the hood he wore which covered his whole, hunched over body.
"You will live to see tomorrow! Now answer my question!" Mori threatened. His anger slowly influencing his actions. Hebi's smirk was wiped off his face. In frustration he blew out most of the candles except the ones closest to him.
"Alright. You're sssso mean Mori!" He wined. His voice deepened, "An immortalssss weaknessss is the vertebrae between their shoulder bladessss."
"All I have to do is hit that vertebrae? It's that simple?!" Mori Shouted while laughing.
Hebi nodded. The door opened and Mori walked back down the hallway.
"Glad doing business with you Officccer Mori! Hope to see you again..." Hebi yelled playfully at him, "in hell!" He murmured under his breath.***
Immortals are feared by many because of their immense power and the fact that they are extremely hard to kill. Which resulted in them being given the name 'Immortals'. Many Immortals were used as weapons for countries to use during wars. People begun believing that they were bad-hearted people. Even though in most cases that was not true. Since being Immortal was very rare, most of their families were mortal and were threatened. However there were Immortals who acknowledged that they were powerful and used that power in many horrible ways, which influenced people's beliefs more. Neither the humans or Immortals were good. Unfortunately the human race excludes people who they think are different or unique and those people can become angry and live up to the horrible names that others give them.
In Andreas case, she was threatened to fight in war. The country she fought for used her family to make her fight. But in the end they lost the war and because of anger, the country sent a firing squad to kill her and her family. But Immortals are hard to kill, so her family was killed right in front of her. However she got her revenge. People criticised her for her decision and people ganged up on her. She ran and ran until she couldn't run anymore. Ninety-eight years later and she was known as 'The Fierce Andrea Konerko Dressed in a Black Cloak."
