Chapter 1

The Beginning 

(Beep, Beep) Slowly Kayleen opened her eyes to her alarm beeping loud by her ear.

"(Groans) stupid clock can't I have one morning without you beeping."

Kayleen turned off the alarm and was heading back to sleep. But tried to remember why her alarm went off. Yesterday was Sunday so today was Monday..Monday..MONDAY. Today was the day she would be assigned groups by the professors at the Twilight Towns Team Center. She hurriedly got out of bed and quickly dressed in her sweater, jeans and flats. And looked at the time it was 15 minutes till it started.

"Why didn't anyone wake me up? Well if I have 15 minutes left I can make it under 12!" Kayleen said proudly.

When Kayleen got out her room no one was home probably her mom had work and took the little demon sisters and granny probably out for groceries. Kayleen grabbed her blue skateboard (it looks like Sora's skateboard in KH2) and left her apartment complex riding to the nearest tram. She check if she had any money to get on but was broke so she jumped on top of the tram when no one was around. After a few minutes she jumped off with people looking at her odd but she ignored it and rode to T.T.T.C...

T.T.T.C was mutil-colored two story building with other little buildings inside of it. Though only way to get to those buildings was the moving stairs that always change direction. When she went inside it was like a busy street with kids and professors going to the auditorium. She pressed her skateboards wheel and it turned into a little cube and stuffed it away. When she went in it was packed and didn't know where to sit.

"Hey Kayleen!!" ??? Said waving her hand.

She looked around and saw her two best friends Belle and Rosy waving at her to come over. She went over and sat next to her friends.

"I'm glad I found you guys I was afraid I would have to stand there like a loner." she said happy to find her friends.

"Awe I wouldn't leave ya there but Rosy would have" Belle said laughing

"She's right I would cause it'll be your fault for being late" Rosy said sticking her tongue out.

"Hey! My alarm woke me up late plus you know I'm sometimes absent-minded ha-ha. But hey I can't wait to see which skill I have hopefully I'm a fighter or black mage!" She said.

"Yeah I want to be a black-mage!!" Belle and Rosy said then looked at each other and we all laughed.

Kayleen looked around for a bit seeing the two professors on the stage. One was Professor Mary a tall thin woman with cat like green eyes and devious smile and her hair was platinum blonde going to her back. The other professor Vector was a few inches taller than Mary he had jet black long hair that was in a ponytail and had a serious look while scanning the crowd. All the kids looked a bit older than supposed to be and had some scars like they came from a difficult journey. Others her age were complete strangers until her journey began. It was all chatter till the crowd heard a high-pitched laughter they turned to see it was Professor Mary laughing away. "Ahaha well I seen we all gotten acquainted, for those who don't know me I'm Professor Mary and this is Professor Vector" She said into the mic with a confident smile. While most of the kids sweat-dropped. Professor Mary handed Vector the mic. "Uhh..Thanks for that interesting introduction Mary; for those about to go on a journey we have chosen you all to become possible members of the DTLS. Most of you here today were told to come for an interview that would tell you, based on a sort of questionnaire, what you should aim to become, but we would like to exercise something one of our professors invented two years ago" Vector said in serious manner. 

Both professors stood by a large, clear crystal orb that rose from the stage. Professor Mary stepped forward, "This is an aura-detecting orb, it works rather simply, you place your hand on the orb and it will change to one of three colors, red if you're to be a fighter, blue if white mage, and a gray if black mage. This will be your indicator for which of the three to aim for on your journey, and it will be a test to see what you will be trained in for your next two years in this program. For example.." Professor Mary put her hand on the orb and it changed to blackish gray. All the new kids got excited but were silent by Vector "WELL, would all of those new kids come up and see what your color will be. Don't be disappointed by what you get because it's destiny" 

Upon seeing a lot of kids walk on stage and place their hand, that made the crystal ball glow bright reds and blues, few had grays and even then they were lighter grays. kayleen was in awe seeing all kids get their colors. She was just hoping she would like what she will get. 

"Come on guys let's go!" Belle said getting ready to get off her seat. Rosy put her hand on Belle's shoulder calming her down. 

"Belle calm down a little we'll go when it's right" Rosy said with a smirk. 

"Hahah yeah don't want to seem too eager when walking." Kayleen said laughing a little but actually was worried and nervous going up there. She's always smiling and making jokes or having banter with the guys. But she's actually a nervous wreck in the inside worrying too much.  

"Yeah I'm Fighter boo yeaahh!" One of my short guy friends said loudly while pumping his fists in the air. Other kids cheered for him while some others snickered rudely because he liked boys and girls. kayleen, Belle and Rosy went up...Rosy went on the stage with head high and placed her hand lightly, the orb it turned to a midnight blue. Rosy's eye twitched a little seeing she didn't want to be a lame white mage. Next was Belle, kayleen giggled as she was giddy and quickly put hand on the orb, kayleen was happy because hers was a very light gray color almost white, She was satisfied and waited with Rosy by stages stairs waiting for Kayleen. She slowly walked to the orb being nervous as heck as she felt eyes on her. She looked both at her best friends and they gave encouraging thumbs up. Kayleen smiled and looked at the orb putting her hand on it, it turned a magenta color which had me completely satisfied till I heard I gasps and whispering and I looked closer at the color it wasn't only magenta it had a bright white little circle inside. she was utterly confused she took her hand off and put it back on it was the same as before. What was going on... 

A loud cough was made by Professor Vector making everyone shut up "That wraps up all the people that has learned there color's, tomorrow marks your journey onto discovering more of your talents with your abilities. So new comers meet outside here at 8 sharp no excuses." Professor Mary took the mic smiling as everyone was heading out "Have a good night's sleep everyone hope you're happy by what you got." kayleen was about to head out but Professor Mary grabbed her shoulder in a grip and whispered in her ear "Meet me in my office tomorrow a little before 8...we need to talk" She then let go and smiled waving while Vector just gave kayleen a curious look. she then went off stage with Rosy and Belle leaving T.T.T.C.  

"What was that about Kay?" Rosy said concerned while Belle looked worried 

"I seriously don't know maybe the orb had a malfunction or something all I know is that I'm a fighter and Professor Mary wants to see me before our journey."

(okay, i didnt write this half of the story the person in the dedication wrote it so give her the credit, we'll be switching now and then, hope you guys like it!)
