Lloyd's POV

The sun crawled up the city walls and creeped its rays into the window panes, filling my room with dense and comforting warmth. I blinked my weary eyes open then they observed the plain, grey room. I sat up on bed and suddenly my muscles twisted for a fleeting second, living in this new teenage body would be difficult, but I can manage.

A knock came upon my door and I went for it, limping as I reached for the door knob. I swung the door open; it was my uncle, Wu. His brow twitched in an anguish manner and I could feel the uneasiness in the atmosphere.

"Lloyd."

He whispered softly. Spontaneously, his staff went flying to my forehead and I smacked upon the wooden floor. Ouch!
My elbow supported me and a string of groans escaped my lips.

"You're supposed to be in bed." His voice raising a bit. "Why did you reach for the door, Lloyd?"

I rolled my eyes stubbornly and reasoned back: "I had to."
I got myself up eventually, still had my muscles aching thanks to that harsh blow to my skull!

"Why are you here anyway?" I muttered. It was his turn to roll his eyes. It took him a satisfyingly good amount of minutes before he replied with a helpless shrug. (How amazing.)

"If you're going to lecture me, just don't. Why don't you spare me instead?" I added, breaking the awful silence. He guffawed with evident enlightenment and I tilted my head slightly with confused eyes.

"I'm not going to lecture you. I'm going to train you. Come! You still got a father to defeat." He spoke sternly after his upbeat laughter. I was still lost in thought but I followed him into the training quarters under any circumstances.

After smacking my head onto the floor for the eleventh time, I gave up. I simply lack the accuracy and balance! How in the world am I suppose to defeat my father, who is about to overtake the world with no doubt and has a seemingly good process at the moment?! Sensei Wu pulled me up the ground and smiled shortly.

"If that what's going to occur, perhaps your control of elements has improved. Quick! No time to lose, start by sparking fire on the tips of your fingers."

I followed as commanded. My focus was as solid as cobblestone and all I see, is myself in a spacious room of darkness. Without my notice, flames engulfed at the corners of the room and the warmth felt surreal. I opened my eyes again and I observed Kai, Nya, Jay, Zane and Cole throwing buckets of water at each inch of the room. The heavy scent of factory smoke squeezed me and I felt like death was hugging me.

"What's going on..?"

I questioned mentally and I swiftly fell to the floor. Fainted cries reached me and that was the last thing I've heard before entering the realm of darkness.

"Lloyd."

Someone spoke my name. My presumptions ought it would be my uncle to ambush me with another set of his recurring speeches. I was proved wrong the moment I blinked my eyes open. It's Kai Smith, he was sitting on a bench beside me.

"Hey, you alright bro?"

His voice could barely reach my hearing, but I was bound to hear something. I nodded weakly and showcased a sheer smile. My exhausted body was enveloped in white comforting sheets and it soothed my stressed mind. He sighed wearily and pulled a long face. I was rushed with streams of emotions and it's what awoken me.

I straightened my back and my brain was running on its feet again. It was difficult to replay the scenes earlier but, my heart keeps beating at an alarming rate whenever I think of it.

"Hey. You sure you're fine?" He interrogated again, this time with more anxiety than ever.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." I eventually gained the strength to speak, although he narrowed his brows and he looked like as if he does not believe me.

"Really?"
"Yeah really."
"I'm calling your uncle."
"Kai, no. Don't please."
"Then tell the truth. Are you okay or not?"

If you really know I'm lying, why do I have to say the truth?

I drank shots of air and exhaled in exasperation. I shot a look at Kai and he jumped fearfully. "Okay okay. I get it! Haha.."

Then. The memories just flowed into my brain like an accidental leakage of the pipes. "Why are you so concerned anyway? What about that Dojo I just burnt down? It doesn't belong to us. What about the others?" I rapped series of questions whilst my head was pumping faint pain and Kai was struck with knives of silence. Typical him.

"That does not matter. All what matters is that you're okay. Besides we can always raise up money again, like what we did at the race." He said warmly.

A/N: I've lost track of the chronological order of the events so, excuse my wrong setting of scenes. My apologies. It's been 4 years since I last watched Ninjago.

And right after that paragraph which escaped from his mouth, the middle of my chest instantaneously commenced throbbing like energetic drums.

What's this?

Why do I feel so queer?

Our eyesight aligned, emerald eyes meeting auburn eyes. Our pupils broadened and our heart thumped in rhythm. Our face were just inches close and our breathings mixed.

"Just so you know, I wouldn't let anything bad happen to my little brother," he broke the chains of silence and gave a glowing crescent grin, "And not to forget, you're the green ninja! Haha!" He scrubbed his fingers into my golden hair, just like what any other ordinary brother would do..

Brother..

Why is that I don't want to be called 'brother' but something else..? The names what would couples give each other.. What's that? Oh yeah.

Honey, babe..

Snap out of it! This is insanity! I'm going insane! Kai stared at me like I turned into a monster. Just then I realized I had my hands gripped and locked into my hair and I was in short of breath. It seemed I was too preoccupied by my thoughts that I didn't know what I was doing.

Just like when I was training.

I relaxed successfully and the tension in my head drifted away. I dropped my arms and twinkled happily.

"I just freaked out. Don't worry, I didn't die." I giggled childishly and Kai did a scrumptious scrunch and it melted my heart for an unknown reason. He punched my shoulder lightly and laughed back eventually.

"Don't say that haha."

My day ended with a sequence of jokes, stories and facts with Kai Smith and it was enjoyable. It took me off the bad happenings and slowed down the guilt.

I wonder what tomorrow awaits me for.
