Belle quickly backed away from the mirror, startled and shocked by her reflection, speaking to her.
"I know why you're here, Belle," the reflection said," and you should know that you still have done nothing to help anyone."
Belle understood the difference between herself and the reflection. Her reflection was the voice in her head, the voice that scorned her for being weak and pointed out all her flaws.
"No. No that's not true," Belle said to her reflection, "I'm helping Rumple catch the Snow Queen."
The reflection laughed mockingly.
"Are you sure you're in here because you're helping? Rumple made you stay in here because you would get in the way. Open your eyes, Belle. The others don't need or want your help. Everyone but you sees you for who you really are. Weak."
Belle shook her head, trying not to let the reflection's words get to her.
"I won't listen to your lies anymore. You may say that everyone thinks I'm weak, but I know that you're lying."
The reflection scoffed.
"I guess you'll see for yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you when they all abandon you."
Belle opened her mouth to say something else to the reflection, but by that time it had already vanished.
"Belle!" Rumple said, entering the cave again, " the Snow Queen is coming. Belle?"
Belle neither spoke nor looked at him, the mirror's words still sending chills through her.
"What's the matter?" Rumple tried again, "what happened?"
             Belle shook her head.
"N-nothing. I can't do this. I-I need to go now."
She hurried out of the cave, leaving Rumple to deal with the Snow Queen. She stumbled through the cold forest, hoping she could get back to town before it got too dark.
"What is wrong with me? Your one chance to do something good for the others, and you walked out."
She knew why she walked out. She couldn't be in the same room as her own reflection. She couldn't be in the same room as the bullying, nagging voice in her head.
