"You know, you can be completely unfair, Chat Noir." Mairnette pursed her lips together, holding her arms together with teary eyes. She hadn't meant to look so weak in front of him, to feel vulnerable and unhappy. The girl had planned to reveal her identity with a smile on her face, to feel proud of who she was and proud of her partner for waiting so long. To push it out so suddenly? Marinette didn't have the words prepared, but Ladybug would have a speech ready in but a moment. 'How lame am I?'

"Hey Prin-... No, Marinette. What's going on? Why're you crying?" And there it was; the worry all too evident in his voice. The way he loomed over her shorter figure to embrace her. Chat had pulled her close into his arms, patting her hair. Unknown to her, she needed this. To have someone just hug her without saying a word, with no other questions or acts of impatience. He was there with her, for her, and would wait as long as she needed him too. Marinette knew this, of course, because Chat Noir was too kind to both of her identities. Sapphire eyes lifted and stared into emeralds. "I didn't think it'd go this way. I wanted to be more well prepared for this moment; especially my clothes," she tries to lift the mood, receiving a small chuckle from the other. Wiping her tear-stained cheeks and giving her face a well-needed pap, she straightens out her posture. "Oh well. Come inside, Chat Noir. It's easier to show you then to explain it." Marientte released herself from his arms, spinning around to the ladder leading into her home. She reaches the ladder, motions for her partner to follow, and climbs down with ease.

"Your place looks comfortable." He comments casually, although still worried as to what was going on. Marinette mentions Ladybug tonight, and with one event leading to another, waterworks and hugs commenced minutes later. The girl shrugs in response. "I guess so. You're lucky to be here, you know. Only Alya and someone else are allowed inside my bedroom." She steps onto her bedroom floor, letting out a deep sigh. It was now or never, she told herself. It was time to stop being so afraid; Char was an understanding person. Marinette trusts him with her life as does he with his. "And who is this someone else, Princess?" The blonde had questioned with a cheeky grin, believing he already knew the answer. Since he, as Adrien Agreste, has entered her bedroom before to hang out, he was confident. "You probably know him, since he's a popular model and all. Adrien Agreste," she began. "But that was a one time thing, he'd probably never come back. It was to practice for a tournament anyways." The teen sighs before stepping towards her bedside.

Whilst trying to be quiet and thoughtful, Marinette slipped her hands under her comforters, poking around for a small, polka-dotted figure. With luck, she discovers her tiny friend, Tikki, and gives her a sad smile. "Tikki, wake up, please? Chat Noir is here." The teen whispers softly, now carrying the kwami in the palms of her hands. The magical creature fluttered it's eyes awake, stretching it's tiny arms and legs out of drowsiness. "Aahhh, Mari? It's already so late, shouldn't you get some sleep?" The kwami replied, not entirely processing the fact that Ladybug's partner was in the room as well. Moments later, after more hushed whispers, the kwami sits up in Mairnette's hands, a big smile on her face.

"Are you sure you're ready? I'm proud of you nonetheless!" Tikki beams, feeling a sense of pride for her human friend. "As ready as I'll ever be." Marinette nuzzles her kwami before turning around to face the blonde before behind her.

"My name is Marinette, just your everyday teenage girl trying to get by. But she's only half of me." If they weren't before, her partner's emerald eyes lit up in excitement, his heart beating faster by each passing second. "My other half is Ladybug. My proof, is my little friend here." She holds up her kwami in her hands, the guardian giving a friendly wave and a smile. Slowly, it flies upwards towards his face, stopping a few inches in front of it. "Hi! I'm Tikki! I see that you, Chat Noir, have my friend Plagg with you. It's nice to finally meet his chosen one!" She waves drastically with a giggle. The kwami's, both her and Plagg, see this reveal as a positive step forward in their relationship. It was time to stop being so afraid of showing your everything; the two already knew their respective humans loved each other and their entirety.

Adrien had every person in Paris to observe and try to figure out who Ladybug was himself, but he would have never guessed it would be Marinette Dupain-Cheng herself. He was constantly blinded by the confident and heroic Ladybug that he didn't even begin to think it could of been her. As if on cue, his Chat Noir ears had drooped down, his expression wide-eyed and shocked; he felt completely stupid for not seeing it before. Adrien began connecting the puzzle pieces together; the strength and sense of justice that Marinette had always held fit with Ladybug perfectly, not to mention their eye color, height, hair, attitude - everything!

"It's really you, Marinette!" Adrien yelped in pure joy, scooping up the shorter girl into a hug, spinning her through the air before enjoying a long embrace. Not only was Marinette overly conscious of their situation, but she would have never guessed he'd be this happy. "W-wait a second! How am I any good? Aren't you disappointed it's me?" She tried to escape his hold, but he only snuggled into her tighter. "Of course I'm not. My Princess was my Lady this entire time- I was so blind to see it, but I'm so, so happy it's you," he whispers, his throat feeling suddenly parched. "Whether you're Marinette or Ladybug, I'll love every part of you, Princess. That's a promise." Noticeably, his voice cracked for a moment. Wetness was seeping into Marinette's shoulders at this point; was Chat Noir really crying? Slowly, Marinette wrapped her arms around his neck, simultaneously stepping upon her toes to reach, resting her head into the crook of his neck.

"You're such a flirt, Chat Noir... Don't you know I love Adrien?"

He sniffles, chuckles at that, and smiles to himself.

"Then I guess you're in luck, Marinette."

With a simple gesture, the room fills with flashes of greens and whites, illuminating the place to Marinette's surprise. Now, where her partner stood in her arms before, was the boy she'd been in love with all along.
