"Are you sure that's all I'll need?" Nick asked through the speakers of my phone as I assessed my own packing situation, or lack there of.

"Yes, just clothes and cash." I answered before zipping up my single suitcase that held a minimal amount of clothing. I had plenty of clothes at my parents house and felt no need to bring more than just a few outfits with me, but it still felt like I was missing something.

"Whatever you say Carrots. What time do you want me to pick you up?"

"You can come over as early as you want, that way we can pick up some coffee on our way to the train station." I replied, pulling myself onto the bed and laying on my back.

"Ok... Hey, do your parents know I'm coming?"

"Yeah, I told them my partner was tagging along-"

His voice seemed almost frustrated when he interrupted, "But do they know I'M coming... like... are they expecting a red furred, charming, kill you with a wink fox?"

I couldn't help but roll my eyes, "Get over yourself pretty boy, my parents grew up around foxes. Granted they were much more well mannered than you, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue." I explained. Truth be told it was pretty amusing to see Nick so worried about what my parents would think of him. Usually he didn't care about everyone's opinions... But, I guess that since I worked with him every day he didn't want to cause a problem between me and parents.

I moved my phone to my other ear so that I could carry my bag to the door, "Look, just pack anything extra if you want to, but keep in mind that I'M not carrying any of your luggage."

I could hear him sigh in annoyance, "Alright... Well... I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight, Carrots."

"Goodnight, Nick," I replied with a soft smile before placing my phone on my bedside table.

I was odd how large my room seemed at night. With the curtains drawn on my single window It was if the black expanse seemed to make the space around me continue on and on into eternity. I looked around my room, my eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness and my mind was proven wrong, shapes came into focus and the endless black expanse slowly transformed back into my little apartment. Suddenly I was reminded of my first day in Zootopia... How I had believed it to be a place of endless possibility only for my eyes to slowly focus on reality. Pushing the thought out of my mind, I moved my suitcase to the foot of my bed and climbed beneath the covers. The exhaustion of my day dragged me down, down, down into the warm recessed of sleep.

In my dream I'm laying in a pit with my leg bleeding from a gash... I can still hear Bellwether talking to her henchmen and barking orders at them. I remember the thought that had run through my mind at that moment, "For such a tiny sheep she sure does have a set of lungs on her."

I can see Nick, his emerald orbs searching for me, full of fear and worry... And then Bellwether is at the edge of the pit looking down at us. She points the gun at Nick thinking that there is a capsule inside instead of a harmless blueberry. Nick's gaze finds me and he nods, our plan about to play out before us... but when Bellwether pulls the trigger the gun doesn't fire... She looks at her hand for a moment as if surprised that the gun would dare go against her orders. "Stanley!" She yelled, and within seconds she had another gun and loaded a capsule inside... A REAL capsule.

My eyes widened and I looked at Nick, he shook his head and began backing away in fear... but then I heard the ear splitting bang of the gun and saw the little burst of blue at his neck. The capsule bursting as it hit his flesh and spreading the chemicals.

I want to run. I HAVE to run, but I can't. I just sit there, my eyes glued to him as he claws at his flesh, tearing at his clothes painfully; His eyes full of fear and flashing with fury. And then it's over. He stops struggling. He's on all fours with his teeth bared and saliva is trickling through his teeth. I can't help it... I reach for my fox repellent and click open the top. I have to get out of here and the spray might buy me some time... Suddenly Nick lifts his muzzle and sniffs the air, his ears and eyes locking onto me only moments after.

I can feel my heart pounding in my ears as our eyes meet. He doesn't look scared any longer, he just looks... hungry.

I hear Bellwethers laughter, and Nick's growl as it deepens and a shrill ringing in my ears that I think must be from all of the blood draining from my head... The shrill gets louder and louder as Nick moves forwards and I raise a shaking hand, the repellent pointed at his face but before I think to make any other moves he lunges... and I lunge awake.
