"Shit!" I yelled as I jumped out of the way on an oncoming car. There haven't been any cars on this road in over a month. No one comes around anymore. Not after the fires...Nobody could've foreseen the end of the world, but then again everyone was focused on their own problems, like paying bills or getting a good grade on a midterm. I know that's what I was doing when all this crap happened. Lo remember it so well...
*flashback*
'This is so boring' I thought as I looked at the midterm review packet. Glancing out the window I decided to take a break. Then there was a flash of light, so bright It messed up my vision for a little, but soon I adapted to the change. Next I noticed I couldn't hear. Everything was muted, almost as if a bomb went off and the blast broke my ears. I got up and heard a ringing sound
'Well a ringing sound is better than no sound right?' I wondered to myself. I walked but couldn't see anything up front. Just a really bright light. Then I stumbled into something, tripped, and fell into darkness.
