Harry's POV:

Damn. That girl was really hot. Kacey Brates, the girl I truly loved. Yeah, I've probably said that before to a lot of girls. But Kacey was different. She was quirky and smart, and downright gorgeous. The way she smiled was so natural, yet so beautiful. She made me feel different.

I'm not quite sure if she likes me though. Even though I'd probably not tell this her, I had a crush on her for a long time.

I saw her this morning with her friend, and looked like she was looking for someone. But my heart skipped a beat when I saw her beautiful face, bright eyes, and amazing body. She was better than words, nothing could describe her.

I walked into the the main hallway, only to find a bunch of girls squealing around me. It wasn't that easy being a popular guy. I sighed and pushed my way through the crowd to find my new locker.

"Hey mate!" Niall enthusiastically said. He gave me a fist to bump while I bumped it back. Niall was a great guy, funny, smart, always there for you.
We was the kind of guy that always cheers you up no matter what, but he can be a little immature sometimes.

   "Where's you're first class?" I asked.

   "Jones, what about you?"

"Ugh, Martin." I groaned. I actually hoped that Niall was in my homeroom, because it's a half an hour class where you basically do nothing. Everyone's usually out on their phones, texting their boyfriend or girlfriend, updating their Snapchat story, or watching some stupid YouTube video. Not like I had a girlfriend in the first place... (The girls in the hallway don't count)

Then there's always those days where I'm too lazy to do my homework, so Niall has to cram all of the answers on to my paper without anyone looking. Those days... I seriously needed to try harder at school. But not that it's gonna get me anywhere. I seriously had absolutely zero plans for my future. I could try a singing career, but who has the money to do that.

It's just me, my sis, and mom at home. We're running pretty tight on money, and I don't think I can afford college tuition and fees.

"Earth to Harry!" Niall said while waving his hand. I looked back at him to realize that I had gone on a little tour with my brain.

"Sorry," I grumbled while opening my locker and shoving everything into it. I grabbed a pencil, a piece of paper, and my phone. Just what I need.

We walked down the hallway together, talking about football stats. We were arguing over teams when a huge group of girls just walked down the hallway. One girl in the center stood out. I then recognized her pretty face, Maggie Aston.

She looked all kind and sweet on the outside, but she was a real bitch when you got to know her. She was pretty self-centered and her parents pretty much got her anything she wanted. She was downright spoiled.

She flirts with a lot of guys, one of those unfortunately being me. But that was when I was clueless to her personality. We were actually a "thing" at school for a while. Sure, we may have kissed a few times. But then I saw how she treated everyone, and we were done with. I wanted nothing to do with her.

She walked right past me, catching my eye. She winked and went back to talking with her friends.

Ugh, did she seriously think that I still liked her. Niall saw my expression when he said, "Hey, you got Kacey, remember?"

"Yeah..." I muttered, turning the corner while slightly blushing. Niall turned the opposite direction to get to his class. We both bid a bye to each other and walked to our classes. This was gonna be a long year...

Kacey's POV:

Me and Jenna walk into Mrs. Jones' room, barely missing the bell. We quickly grab two seats that are open and sit down. I look around the class thinking, wow this is a small class. There were about ten kids, which is kind of surprising because we had a huge school. I guess we were just the leftover class. I scanned the room to see a blond guy that looked vaguely familiar.

What was his name, Neil, Nail, something like that. I ran through a bunch of names when I finally caught the right one. Niall! That's what his name was! He was Harry's friend, that's how I knew him.

He turned around, which made me avert my eyes hoping he didn't catch me staring. Well I wasn't staring at him like that, but still... He saw me and it looked like he had a half smirk on. I blushed and looked down, pretending to read my book. Then I realized I didn't even have a book, which made me mentally face-palm myself. Wow, that was smooth Kacey, I thought to myself.

I turned to Jenna, who was currently posting on her Snapchat story. I peeked over and grabbed my phone out.

   "Selfie?" She asked.

"Sure," I answered while putting on the flower crown filter. We took a quick snap and giggled how the crown never worked on her. But I took one anyway and posted it. She gave me a playful shove and I stuck my tongue out at her.

I was playing with the doggy filter when one of my selfies actually  turned out decent. I put on the caption, 'Long time waiting' because honestly, this bell was gonna kill me.

I saw Niall checking others', when I ran my eyes over Harry's story. I squinted, trying to make out the username. Ugh, why did I have to be so far away from him. I tried leaning forward but the guy in front of me gave me an evil glare and I went back to my normal position.

Shoot, I really needed his Snapchat. My thought was shattered by the loud sound of the bell. Finally, I thought to myself.  Me and Jenna grabbed our stuff and ran out the door.

The rush of the hallway helped me wake my brain up a little. So many thoughts rushed through my head right now. I pushed everything away and smiled at Jenna.

"Who are you thinking about?" She asked while smirking.

"No one, who are you thinking about?" I popped.

"You and Harry as a couple," she smugly said. I was blushing so hard I looked like a tomato. I playfully glared at her.

"Let's hope!" I said while turning my first class, English. She was the class right next door, so we waved at each other and walked into our classes. I sighed to myself and said, this is gonna be a long year.
