God is...

God is the destroyer of my anxiety...

I may fear,

But You are always near.

I may fret,

But You've made my path set.

I may worry,

But it's something You take and carry.

I may weep,

But Your warmth reaches deep.

I may fumble,

But You lift me up when I start to tumble.

I may scream out,

But You're there when I shout.

I may feel like a whirl wind,

But You provide your arms for me to rest in.

And at the end of the day when I'm weary and worn,

You take up the pieces and mend what's been torn.

Even when my anxiety drags me to the ground,

You'll lift me up, safe and sound.

~ 2 Timothy 1:7- "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind."

Recently, I've been hit by a bucket load of anxiety. I take my worries and blow them out of proportion. I've come to terms with the greater wisps at the moment but twinges of worry still gnaw at my mind. I find peace in the verse above. I hope this can also help other readers.
