When I got home I went straight to my room and sat on my bed. It just kept bothering me. My thoughts where all focused on what Karma said. What did she mean by they lost focus? My parents where rich and successful and there's nothing more to it. I grabbed the newspapers out from my bag; I always kept them everywhere I went just because it made me feel safe. I read the headline just like I did every other night. Successful Business Owners Die in a Crash; I started to read the article again, I couldn't help it I just had to read it, it was something that would never leave my mind.

Joanna Blume and Chris Blume founder of America's favorite restaurant Family Table. Found in a car accident in Downtown Atlanta. They were on their way to Chapman Heights for a celebratory 21st anniversary, but a terrible incident came and took away their lives. Rounding off of US41 they swerved into a massive cement truck.

I skipped through the article I didn't need to read about what they looked like or how else the truck killed them but then my eyes caught on the part that I could never finish. Not just finish. Accept that I was announced missing.

Police are looking for 11 year old Ada Blume, pitch black hair and green eyes she was last seen at home in Sarasota Florida. If seen please contact 1-800-HER-HELP.

Right next to it, there was a picture of me. My eyes started to swell up and I couldn't help the tears that where falling out of my eyes. The room door slam. I jumped up and stuck the newspaper under my pillow. Popping her gum, Karma was standing in front of me. "Didn't I want you at the race in two hours?"

I sighed "Yeah but that's two hours away." I said walking around the room and to my closet so she couldn't see my face.

"Then why did you have Josh call me and tell me you're not feeling alright." She snapped with her hands on her hips.

"I didn't tell Josh to call you." I rolled my eyes at her. Now she could see my puffiness in my eyes.

"Ada next time you roll your eyes at me I will not hesitate to pull out." She spit the gum out into the trash bin. Like you would ever pistol whip me?

"I doubt that you'll even try to do that, I'm your best driver!" I shouted at her. This wasn't a lie.

"You don't know what I can and cannot do okay. Ada get your ass ready and you and Josh and that kid with him down to the race." She demanded yelling out loud. What kid? I know Brandon did not follow me.

"Didn't Josh tell you I didn't feel okay?" I said. "You keep telling me to focus, and how am I supposed to focus if I don't feel good?" I pushed past her and walked to the living room to see who was there. Of course you are here. Jace and Josh where sitting on couch. I could hear Karma's footsteps come after me.

"Ada are you still thinking about your parents. They died when you were eleven! That was six years ago get over it." She said stomping into the kitchen. Is this woman seriously telling me to get over my own parents deaths?

"Get over it! Get the fuck over it!" I could feel my face start to heat up. "Karma, you can get over me driving tonight because it's not happening."

"That's not a decision you get to make Ada." She argued. "If you don't drive you're getting out of my house and you're not working for me again." There was a moment of silence and I saw that she had a victorious smile on her face.

"Fine," I bluffed. Her smile went away. She has to call off the race.

"What do you mean fine?" Her voice was confused, and so was her face not to mention her sexual preference.

"I'm getting my clothes and I'm leaving tonight." I walked back to my room and stuff the 13 outfits into my bag. 13. I can last on 3 outfits. I finish packing my heels in the bag.

Everyone stalked into room and watched me zip up my bags. "She's kidding right, you're not just going to let her go into the streets like that." Josh argued.

"Do you know how much shits going to happen to her!" Jace joined in.

"She isn't going to last a day without me." I heard Karma say stiffly.

"If I could last two straight years then I could go a couple months without you." Glared painfully into Karmas eyes.

"What does she mean a couple of months?" Jace said. "If you leave you leave for good right?" Shit.

"Her parents where rich and all the money and the business goes to her when she's eighteen. Sadly she'll have to come and get the password from me, and if she doesn't within 24 hours of her birthday, the money goes to me." Karma informed them. I grabbed my bags and walked out the door with the keys in my hand. "Where do you think you're going?" Karma shouted behind me. I hope she's begging me to stay. It was all happening so fast and I liked the warm feeling of having a secure house to stay in and I didn't want to leave it all no matter how badly I didn't want to come in the first place.

"How many times do we have to go through this?" I groaned.

"I don't care if you leave. I need my keys." She said bluntly.

I laughed she has got to be kidding me. "I risked my life for this car you're not getting it back." I said.

"What ever you do with your life does not concern me, but my cars do." She said walking up to the car.

I closed my door quickly and started the engine; I made sure my window was down and shouted "Sorry Karma but Ada can be a bitch to!"
