Chapter 3 (Turn For The Better)

That's when I fell into my deep depression. I didn't leave the first few weeks. I just wanted to be left alone. My brother on the other hand was having the best time of his life.

Shit I was happy one of us was having a good time. But that wasn't good enough for me.

Flashback

"Okay time to get up." Melvin and Antwan said waking me up opening the blinds.

"I'm good." I said pulling the covers over my eyes.

"Naw man you been in this low mood since we got here. Time to get up and come on the block with us." They said pulling the cover off off me.

"Man I don't see why y'all tryna get me out the house." I said getting up heading to the bathroom.

20 minutes past and I was just walking out the bathroom. Wasn't in the mood so I just throw on my black Nike shirt and some cargo shorts with my Nike slides. On yea and some black ankle shocks.

I walked in the room where I just was sleeping to see them lighting up. Knowing them they where going to me take the first hit.

But I wasn't going to oppose. Shit I needed it.

"Huh man take a hit." Antwan said passing it to me. I took it and sat on the couch and deeply inhaled it.

As soon as I blow the air out I starting coughing letting me know that this was good bag. I put my head back and let all my stress go.

"Bro you ready to go." Melvin said stand by the door. I was to gone to even know they got up.

"Yea". I said grabbing my black Bulls hat off the table.

Heading down the street my mood changed. My high wasn't faded but I still knew I had just stepped out of my 2 week depression. I found out I can't keep dwelling on my pass; time to focus on my future.

"What up." My lil nigga Justin said as I walked. "Damn they talked you out the house?" He said causing a smile to form on my face.

"Yea." I said sitting on his front steps. "So what y'all do all day?" I said watching them roll up again.

"Shit chill smoke. You know."

"Alright." I said taking a hit from the blunt and letting my worry from that point on faded away.
