Maplekit lapped the starry water. She just finished listening to the story about when Ashfur rebelled. Maplekit sighed. She had no cat to play with. Her sister had faded waaay too early. Now she was nothing. Poof! Gone like that. Maplekit went back into the den. She sat beside her mothers starry fur and pressed her face against it. She never wanted to leave the nursery. She just wanted to be with Appletail. Spikeheart padded into the den and said "Hiya little rascal!" He purred. Maplekit bounced to her fathers paws "Can we play? Can we can we?" Spikeheart looked at her as his eyes sparkled with excitement "Alright. I'm the kit and you're the badger, okay?" Maplekit purred and snarled like how she imagined a badger would sound like "Arrgh Arrrgh AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!" Spikeheart squealed "Ahh! A badger! Is there any cat that can save me?" His tail tapped Appletails nose "I need a cat to rescue me" Appletail rolled her eyes and hopped in front of Maplekit "I will protect you from this stinky badger!" Maplekit snarled like a badger once again "Aargh I'm not stinky! ARGH!!" She pounced onto her moms side and hit it "Attack!!!!!!" Appletail pretended to writhe in agony. "The mighty warrior has been defeated!" Maplekit howled "Arrghouuuu!!" Spikeheart squealed again "Now I am doomed!" Maplekit purred and fell of Appletail "Mreow! Mreow! I'm tired..." Appletail got up and licked her fur "Okay my brave, young ,badger.." Maplekit curled up beside Appletail "Rest well momma, daddy, rest... well...."
