Chapter 13-Just a Human

Sans POV

When we got to Undyne's house-which looked like a fish I noticed something was missing.

"Undyne?"I said.

"Yeah Sans?"Undyne replied.

"Do you feel like we're forgetting something?"I asked.

"Well, now that you mention it I kinda do"Undyne said.

I thought hard and then I realized what or who was missing.

"PAPYRUS!"I yelled out.

"PAPYRUS WE FORGOT PAPYRUS?!"Undyne yelled.

We both screamed for a minute before calming down.

Papyrus POV

I was running but I din't know where to.I reached a place with a lot of water I didn't know what to do.I started to go back to the school.I was being careful in case Chara was still around.When I reached the gates I poked my head around the corner but there was no sign of Chara anywhere.I began to walk back but suddenly something ran past me.My scarf blew off.

"Who's there!"I yelled as I started to cry.

"My child, please do not be afraid"Mum said.

I sighed with relief.

"My child where is Sans,Asriel and Chara?"She asked.

"I don't know where any of them are"I said sadly.

"Ah, do not worry my child, they will find their own way home,but why are they skipping school?That doesn't matter come on lets get you home"She said kindly as she took my hand.

Sans POV

"We have to get back to the school!"I said.

"Are you INSANE?!"Undyne yelled.

"NO we HAVE to find Papyrus!"I yelled.

"Hmm you can go but I'm staying to look after the prince"Undyne said.

"He has a name ya know"I said.

"*sigh* You just go and I'll look after Asriel"Undyne said.

I ran out the door and to the school.When I reached the school I couldn't find him or Chara anywhere.I looked around and saw Papyrus's scarf he never took it off.

"No it can't be"I said.

"He can't be gone he just can't!"I said as I started crying.

"I shouldn't have trusted her she's just a human after all. The humans probably sent her here to kill us all"I said.

At that moment something snapped I was filled with hate but, I was determined to deliver justice.I was just sitting there holding Papy's scarf.When my eye started hurting but I didn't have a target.I heard something behind me and suddenly 3 bones shot forward.

"What?How did I do that?"I asked myself.

I tried to do it again I thought of everything unfair that Chara did and it happened again. Maybe I could do it without thinking so I just thought of bones and bones shot out.I found out a new power.

"Cool"I thought to myself.

But can Papyrus really be gone?And all this "I'm Sorry" Talk was probably just a show to get us to trust her.But Chara wouldn't do all this but then again she would but I remembered that when Chara attacked it seemed like she was trying to resist.That's when it hit me.There was a legend.The legend of the demon of Hate.I couldn't remember it exactly but it went something like this.

Long ago when the monsters  were banished to the underground it was said one, the strongest monster broke through the barrier, at a cost.It lost its physical form becoming just a spirit afloat.It had the ability to control and posses people at will.It grows stronger with hate.But it only chose those with skill and Determination.It is said the monster still lives.

A demon huh?Maybe it possesed Chara back then.Maybe that's why Chara said "So much hate"back then because when she said that she seemed to get stronger.I need to go back and tell Undyne.I ran all the way with Papy's scarf.When I reached her house I was out of breath.She opened the door.

"Sans you're back did you find him?"Undyne asked.

I couldn't reply I looked up and felt tears in my eyes .Undyne looked like she was full of  disbelief.I told Undyne everything that had happened I also recited the legend for her.

"A monster spirit afloat?"She said curiously.

"Yep"I replied.

"And you also discovered a new ability?"Undyne asked.

"Yep pretty cool, but I won't forgive Chara what she did to papyrus and those monsters justice will be served"I said.

"Yeah but before you go up against her you need to practice your skills"Undyne said.

"Yeah I guess I do"I said."Has Asriel woken up yet?"

"He has but he won't talk to me"Undyne said sadly.

"He'll talk to me"I said.

"He's in my bedroom just over there"Undyne said pointing to a blue door.

I walked over and opened the door and I saw Asriel curled up in a ball on the bed.

"Asriel?"I asked.

"What?"Asriel said.

"What's up?"I asked.

"*sigh*Its just Chara wouldn't do anything like that and I know.She's to kind"Asriel said.

"Yeah I guess she is"I said.

"Sans could you just go?I need some time alone"Asriel said sadly.

"Okay"I replied as I got up and left"

I walked out and closed the door behind me.

"Sans when you're ready, come outside!"Undyne yelled.

I took some deep breathes but I couldn't help think what was bothering Asriel so much.I had to ask him later.
