I didnt know where i was going, i just knew i needed to go. i couldn't look back not after what they had done to me for the umteenth time in my fourteen years of living. never did it occur to me how far i was going away from my life, they just kept going, never stopping the abuse. i stopped going to school two months ago, and avoiding my parents for a year. this was when i started to run away. my white shoulder length hair flowing behind me. i have to go where no one else would go, except to my lighthouse. it got abndoned when i was a baby. my friend named melody and i came out here everynight and sometimes fall asleep inside, just looking at the stars.now i was sitting on the shore line looking into the water.My eyes were this grey color with tints of green. not a zit on my face thank you for that. it was the middle of the night, not a cloud in the sky with a full moon. "BOO" i scream and fall into the water not knowing what is behind me. when i submerge i find that melody is sitting on the edge above me laughing so hard she falls of and belly flops beside me.by this time its my turn to laugh as i swim off to shore. Melody has lived in the lighthouse since her parents died in a car crash a year ago. she didnt want to go into foster care so she moved into the lighthouse with the caretaker and her son,  Demetre.

Before i knew it melody was hot on my trail. We were soaking wet, and running bare foot to her house. the wind was starting to pick up just as we walked past this underground cave. there were these faint, swirly blue lines all the the perimeter of the entrance.i took a few steps in and all of the sudden it cave started to go down. before i could go any further something hit me right in the eye. i stumble backwards right onto melody's feet. " what the heck just happened" my vision is starting to get blurry and it was hard just to see my own hand. What was that thing, and what had it done to me. i dont remember anything after that, i blacked out. poor little melody had to drag me the rest of the way.

I wake up screaming, with sweat on my face.Ariel comes running from the kitchen with her .Arms waving."whats wrong Sweet heart", i just bury my face into her chest a take the best breaths i can. i sit there for a minute before melody comes in and tells her im fine. Thats what i love about her she knows when i need my space."What did they do this time?" Thats the thing with melody, since ive told her everything she knows whats wrong with me.Melody had chocolate brown hair to her elbows.her  bright green eyes  lit up her entire face.she was smaller than most girls to, only 4'11, but i loved her still. "Its just the same thing they did as last night, do you think i could stay here for a while?" Ariel shouts from the door outside, "of course you can take as long as you need." We laugh  untill Demetre bursts our bubble.Since im going to be hear for a while i was going to need some extra clothes."Dont go back,you can have some of my clothes." I had too besides, they were to be a work by now anyways.Before she can say anything else i get up and start to head to the door."I  dont think so," Ariel turns me aroung and seats my a her table."not untill you eat." Demetre and i start laughing but when i get to Melody, shes just looking at me with sorrowful eyes

When im finished Demetre gives me a ride on his motor cycle. Even though every turn he does i think its going to break. I didnt realise i had ran this far in the dark it was more than 10 clicks. as we pulled up there were no cars in the drive way. the street was deserted do if anything happened no one would see.

What i rebekah going to find when shes in the house?

and when will reality finally go away?
