It was a perfect sunny Friday. The trees were a bright green, the sun was beating on everyone, people were out everywhere and it was perfect to hang out! Nicole, a tall wavy blonde hair and green eyed girl was walking home with her three best friends from school. Abby, tall Straight brown hair with hazel eyes. Olivia, average size layered blonde hair with black dyed tips and blue icy eyes. And Mia, reddish brown straight hair with grey eyes.

"I'm so happy that we can actually hang out all together! All of us have been so busy to be able to do this." Olivia said very happily.

"I know! It's awesome." Said Abby twirling her hair.

"Nicole your parents are so cool!" Mia started, "They are letting us stay at your house, without them even there!"

"Where are they even going?" Abby pondered.

"Somewhere in Laurel." Nicole said.

Laurel is a 2 hour drive away in a different city. It's much bigger then the town the 4 friends live in.

"How much longer is your house away Nicole?" Abby questioned.

"Maybe one block away." Responded Nicole adjusting her backpack. "Say, let's go to Seven Eleven to get snacks and slushys for later on tonight!"

"That would be amazing! When though?" Asked Mia.

"Lets drop our stuff off at Nicole's, hang out there for like a half hour, then go!" Olivia offered.

"Great idea!" Abby said.

"Hey look we are here!" Nicole pointed to her house.

Nicole house was not to small, but not too big. It was a great size for a family. She lived in the suburbs. Her house was white, and clean. There was flowers everywhere and the yard was well kept.

Nicole took her keys to the house out of her pack back and jiggled them in the lock to open the door. As she walked in, her friends followed.

Her house was always clean. Her mom and dad were both clean freaks. "It needs to be so clean that you can dust easily." Her dad always tells her. "There should be nothing on your floor." Her mom says all the time.

"By the end of the night, this house is going to seem like a tornado struck!" Abby said laughing at her self.

"You guys can put your school stuff in my bed room." Nicole said leading them upstairs.

Everyone plopped everything that they had on Nicole's nicely made bed.

"Anyone hungry?" Asked Nicole.

"OF CORSE!" All screamed.

They raced down the the kitchen.

"Chips?" Nicole said opening the pantry.

Chapter 2: Storm

Once all the girls got some food in them, they were ready to go to "Seven Eleven" which is just across Nicole's street.

Nicole said smiling, "ok guys! Are you ready?"

"Almost, I still need to put my shoes on." Olivia responded as she went upstairs to get her shoes.

Nicole glanced outside. Instead of it a sunny and happy, it's was all sad a gloomy. No one was outside... The winds were harsh.

Olivia came running down stairs.

"I'm ready now!"

Nicole didn't think that outside was that bad so she was still up to going.

"Ok!" Nicole grabbed the handle to the door and opened it.
